Women’s Tennis – #2 Sharks picked second in SSC Coaches’ Poll

MELBOURNE, Fla. – The Sunshine State Conference announced the 2025 Women’s Tennis preseason coaches’ poll on Wednesday morning. No. 2 Nova Southeastern, the reigning NCAA Division II national champions, were second in the league and received two first place votes.  

Under the direction of Head Coach Doug Neagle, the Sharks won a program record 27 matches during the 2024 season, culminating in the team’s first national title in which Nova Southeastern defeated SSC rival Barry (4-2). NSU returns three members of the national championship team – Ita HabekovicSofia Shing, and Julia Moraes – and welcomed new additions in Maya BenaichSofia CarpiIsabella CiancagliniNoemie DadounKristyna HranacovaPriscila Janikian, and Amina Sagadiyeva.
