USF Baseball: Bulls announce 2025 schedule

The season opens on Friday, February 14, and the full schedule includes 30 home games, and 14 contests against teams that reached the NCAA postseason last year.

TAMPA (December 5, 2024) – University of South Florida head coach Mitch Hannahs has unveiled the Bulls’ 2025 baseball schedule which opens with a three-game series against the University of Iowa on Friday, February 14 at USF Baseball Stadium in Tampa. Hannahs, the 2023 ABCA NCAA DI Midwest Region Coach of the Year, is in his first season as skipper at South Florida.

The complete schedule includes 30 home games and 14 tilts against teams that reached the NCAA postseason in 2024. Those teams include: Florida State, Florida, East Carolina, UCF, Tulane and Stetson.

Following opening weekend against Iowa on February 14-16, South Florida hosts Florida State on Tuesday, February 18. Florida State reached the College World Series last season.

Other notable home series include UCF on February 28-March 2 and Maryland on March 14-16. The UCF Knights were a regional team in 2024, and Maryland has reached an NCAA Regional in three of the last four seasons.

The Bulls will travel to Statesboro, Ga. On February 20-22 for their first road series of the season to take on Georgia Southern. The Eagles hosted an NCAA Regional in 2022.

USF will travel to Florida State on Tuesday, April 15 and Florida on Tuesday, May 6. The Florida Gators also advanced to the 2024 College World Series.

The Bulls host conference foes Tulane (March 28-30)Charlotte (April 17-19)UTSA (May 2-4) and ECU (May 15-17). USF’s conference road trips are at UAB (March 21-23), Memphis (April 4-6), Rice (April 11-13), Wichita State (April 25-27) and FAU (May 9-11).

All USF home games for the 2025 season will be broadcast live on ESPN+.

Double Play Passes, which include one ticket to every home baseball and softball game, are on sale now and can be purchased through December 31st at a discounted rate of $99. The South Florida Baseball program played its first season in 1966 and will enter its 60th campaign in 2025. Mitch Hannahs was named South Florida’s eighth head coach in program history on June 8, 2024 after compiling 355 wins over 11 seasons at Indiana State. The 2023 ABCA NCAA DI Midwest Region Coach of the Year guided the Sycamores to six conference titles and five NCAA Regionals.
