11/7/2024 | Football BOCA RATON, Fla. – Week 9 of the 2024 NFL season is in the books with four former Florida Atlantic Owls seeing action. Here’s a rundown of how each performed during the ninth week (All gametimes listed below are Eastern): Active Owls (4) #84 Harrison Bryant | TE | Las Vegas Raiders – After missing the previous week due to injury, Bryant returned to the Raiders’ lineup. He made his mark in 17 snaps on offense, catching both of his targets for 22 yards. He was responsible for one of Vegas’ longest offensive plays of the day when off a scramble from the QB, he caught a pass in the middle of the field and turned it into an 18-yard gain for the first down. Bryant and the Raiders ultimately fell to the Bengals by a score of 41-24, where his former Owl teammate put forth a career-best game. Raiders’ Record: 2-7 Next Game: at Cincinnati (and Hendrickson) – Sunday, 1 p.m. (FOX) #91 Trey Hendrickson | DE | Cincinnati Bengals – A new NFL sack leader has emerged, and it is now FAU’s own Trey Hendrickson. Hendrickson’s play on the field has taken yet another new level, going from elite to historic. On Sunday afternoon, he notched a career-high four sacks, second most in a single game by any player this season, to up his season total to 11 and putting him in double digits for the fourth time in five seasons. Additionally, he registered a total of seven hits of the quarterback and 10 pressures, solidifying one of the best games by an NFL defensive lineman in recent memory. He now moves to number three in franchise history with 50.5 sacks after just 57 games as a Bengal as Cincinnati picked up the 41-24 victory to keep them firmly in the AFC playoff hunt. His first carry was his best, breaking through the hole for the 15-yard gain. The Giants fell to their divisional rival Washington Commanders by a score of 27-22.
