TAMPA, Fla (November 6, 2024) – The National Collegiate Golf Rankings have been announced and South Florida has surged to No. 23 in the country. Jake Peacock has also surged to No. 12 in the most recent National Collegiate rankings.
The 2023-24 AAC champions have picked up right where they left following last season’s conference title. They’ve improved their placing each tournament this season finishing 6th, 5th, and most recently, 1st at the FAU Invitational. The Bulls put together their most complete performance at the FAU Invitational as they were the only team to finish par or better (E). Every player on the roster earned their best individual performance of the season en route to a decisive 20-stroke victory. The Bulls wrapped up their fall portion of the season on a high note and possess a ton of momentum heading into the spring.
Jake Peacock continues to climb the National Rankings after an impressive fall season. He has finishes of 3rd, 6th and 1st at the Visit Knoxville Collegiate, Windon Memorial Classic and FAU Invitational, respectively. The 2023-24 AAC individual champion has shot par or better in six of his nine rounds with a low round of 64 that he has hit twice. He also has a team-high 39 birdies this season.
The Bulls have gotten strong performances out of their entire roster on their way to this No. 23 ranking. Cooper Smith recorded three top-25 finishes and is currently ranked No. 74. Shubham Jaglan finished just behind Peacock at the FAU Invitational and is ranked No. 114. South Florida is one of 12 schools in the nation to have three players ranked in the top 115. With so much talent and confidence heading into the spring semester, the No. 23 Bulls will continue to climb the National rankings.
