IRVING, Texas – The field is set for the 2024 American Athletic Conference Men’s Soccer Championship. The Memphis Tigers clinched the top overall seed and the outright American Athletic Conference Regular Season Championship.
The tournament features a single-elimination formation with the first round on Friday, Nov. 8. Memphis (7-6-3, 4-1-2 American) will host the semifinals on Nov. 13 and the final on Nov. 16. All games will be streamed live on ESPN+. The tournament champion will earn the league’s automatic bid to the 2024 NCAA Division I Men’s Soccer Championship.
In the first-round matchups, No. 3 seed Charlotte (8-2-5, 3-2-2 American) will host No. 6 seed Temple (5-6-5, 2-2-3 American), while No. 4 seed Florida Atlantic (7-5-3, 3-3-1 American) will host No. 5 seed FIU (4-5-6, 2-2-3 American). South Florida (6-5-4, 4-3 American) is the No. 2 seed and earned a first-round bye alongside No. 1 seed Memphis.
This marks the first time that Memphis will host the conference tournament. Charlotte, the 2023 American Athletic Conference Champions, will look to repeat, while host Memphis is in search of their first American Athletic Conference Championship.
