10/27/2024 | Men’s Golf PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. – Florida Atlantic men’s golf will host the Florida Atlantic Invitational presented by the Palm Beach County Sports Commission beginning Monday at the PGA National Resort in Palm Beach Gardens. 36 holes are scheduled for Monday with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. followed immediately by the second round in the afternoon. Tuesday’s final round will also begin with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. The event will conclude the fall season for the Owls. The LineupThe Owls will send out all 10 players on the roster – five as potential counting scores and five as individuals. Leading the way is freshman Biagio Gagliardi who won his last official event at the Ironwood Collegiate Classic nearly a month ago. One other name to watch among the counting scores is senior Jake Hibbert who will make his season debut. Ian Soderholm, Guilherme Grinberg, and Andres Atrio round out the team score five.NaShawn Tyson, Kaleb Palm, Jack Brugman, Christian Veilleux, and Ylan Guerin Pozzalo will compete as individuals. The CoursePGA National is the annual home to the PGA Tour’s Cognizant Classic which includes past champions Justin Thomas, Rickie Fowler, and Rory McIlroy. This week it will play as a par 71 at 7,054 yards. The signature stretch known as “The Bear Trap” starts at the par three 15th hole followed by the long par four 16th and concludes at the treacherous par three 17th.The FieldThe field consists of 12 teams and 76 individuals.
