Trackhouse Racing arrives in South Florida for Sunday’s 400-mile NASCAR Cup Series race at Homestead-Miami Speedway with a bit of momentum after Daniel Suárez and Ross Chastain each posted top-10 finishes at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. With three races remaining in the 2024 season, both Trackhouse drivers hope to continue the success as they close out the year and prepare for the 2025 season. |
Kubota Tractor Corporation: Ross Chastain will pilot the orange-and-black Kubota Tractor Corporation livery for the final time this season at Homestead-Miami (Fla.) Speedway. He most recently drove it to victory four weeks ago at Kansas Speedway in Kansas City. Each time Chastain has been behind the wheel of the No. 1 Chevy with the Kubota livery this season, he’s finished in the top-10. A streak he hopes to keep alive this weekend at Homestead-Miami to cap the season off with six top-10 finishes in the Kubota branded Chevrolet. |
Kubota Specialty Scheme: The inspiration for this weekend’s special scheme came from Kubota’s desire to celebrate Chastain’s love of watermelon farming at his home track. With Chastain being a Kubota tractor owner himself, it combines watermelons with Kubota equipment used in agriculture, such as tractors and skid steers. In coordination with the scheme, there will also be scheme-matching merchandise available for purchase at the Trackhouse Merchandise hauler located in the Homestead fan midway, and the Trackhouse online store. |
$10,000 Donation for Top-10 Finish: For the second year, Kubota and Trackhouse Racing are putting the partnership in overdrive in support of farmer veterans. In the races Kubota is serving as the primary sponsor of Chastain’s No. 1 Kubota Chevrolet, a $10,000 donation will be made to the Farmer Veteran Coalition for a top-10 finish. The Farmer Veteran Coalition (FVC) is a national nonprofit organization that assists military veterans and currently serving members of the Armed Forces to transition into careers in farming, and since 2015, Kubota has partnered with FVC on the “Geared to Give” program which has provided more than $900,000 to the coalition in the form of organizational support, grants to veterans and 41 pieces of donated equipment. So far this season, Chastain has secured a total of $50,000 in donations with a fourth-place finish at Las Vegas Motor Speedway in March, sixth-place finish at Phoenix Raceway, fifth-place finish at Sonoma (Calif.) Raceway, 10th-place at New Hampshire Motor Speedway and a victory four weeks ago at Kansas Speedway in Kansas City. Chastain has one final opportunity this weekend at Homestead-Miami to raise an additional $10,000 for FVC if he finishes in the top-10 and bring the donation total to $60,000.Meet Chastain: On Saturday at Noon ET, Chastain will sign autographs at Florida Coast Equipment, 1995 NE 8th Street, Homestead, Fla.Homestead-Miami Stats: Chastain will make his sixth Cup Series start this weekend at the South Florida track. Ross Chastain Career Statistics Chastain Quotes: I guess you could consider Homestead your home track, will you have a lot of people there? “I’ll have a lot of people at the track this weekend. It lines up with the FLorida Watermelon Association convention over in Fort Myers leading up to the race. It sounds silly to stay out loud to most people, but in the industry, it’s when everybody and anybody involved in Florida watermelons gets together So I’ll be over there for a couple of days and then drive over to Homestead. There will be a lot of people there from Southwest Florida because it’s a little closer than Daytona.” What pride do you take in the steps the No. 1 team has taken over these last couple of months to improve the performance?“The performance kept going up through the summer stretch when we just weren’t fast enough. I didn’t have the grip I needed to go fast. Now the speed is back and we’re going to places where we can continue to show that. As long as we are in the front couple of rows at the end of a race, we’ll have a shot to win.” |

Daniel Suárez Career Statistics Suárez Quotes:Does a third-place finish last week give you momentum coming into Sunday’s race in Homestead?“Of course it does. We had a fast car in Las Vegas. It wasn’t the fastest car on the track, but my crew made some smart decisions and we turned that into a third-place finish. I wish we could have ended the race a few laps earlier and maybe if a few other things had happened we would have won the race, but we put ourselves in a great position to win a race and that’s something I would like to do every week.”Do you like visiting Homestead?“I do. Homestead, Texas, California all those place feel like home to me. The fans are very welcoming and it seems like we get a lot of cheers during the introductions. We are going to have a lot of fun this weekend on the race track, meeting our friends at Florida Coast Equipment and Freeway Insurance plus going to the Miami football game.
