IRVING, Texas – The American Athletic Conference has announced its men’s basketball tip times and television designations for the 2024-25 season.
The 2024-25 season will be The American’s fifth under its media rights extension with ESPN, which will allow for a minimum of 56 conference-controlled games to be televised on either ABC, ESPN, ESPN2 or ESPNU. A minimum of 23 of those games will be on either ABC, ESPN or ESPN2.
In addition, CBS will broadcast one conference-controlled contest, Mississippi State at Memphis on Saturday, December 21 at 12:30 p.m. ET/11:30 a.m. CT.
The remaining conference-controlled games will be on ESPN+, the industry-leading sports streaming service with exclusive access to more than 27,000 live sports events each year, and is available at espnplus.com.
All games that are televised on an ESPN network will also be available on the ESPN App with TV Everywhere credentials.
CBS Sports’ broadcast coverage will be available to stream live on Paramount+, with additional coverage on CBS Sports’ digital platforms, including CBSSports.com and CBS Sports HQ.
Four non-conference games have been selected for the ESPN family of networks, including Middle Tennessee at UAB on December 1 (ESPN2 at 4 p.m. ET), Arkansas State at Memphis on December 8 (ESPNU at 4 p.m. ET), Ole Miss at Memphis on December 28 (ESPN2 at 2 p.m. ET) and Buffalo at Temple on December 29 (ESPNU at 3 p.m. ET).
Conference play begins on December 31, 2024, including preseason favorite UAB playing at North Texas on ESPNU at 4 p.m. ET/3 p.m. CT.
Four programs earned postseason bids in 2023-24. UAB and Florida Atlantic. North Texas and American regular season champion South Florida competed in the NIT.
The 2025 American Athletic Conference Men’s Basketball Championship will take place March 12-16 at Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, Texas. All games of the championship will be televised on the ESPN family of networks.
