FORT MYERS, Fla. – Florida Atlantic men’s soccer made it back-to-back wins for the first time this season with a 3-0 victory over Florida Gulf Coast on Tuesday. The result pulled the Owls’ record to 4-4-3 overall.
After a first half with little room to maneuver, an Oliver Moller-Jensen goal in the 56th minute broke the game wide open. Jeremy Montero played a perfect through-ball for the sophomore, who slotted home into the far corner for his first goal of the season.
Noah Kvifte doubled the advantage off an Aboubacar Traore corner kick in the 68th minute. Traore’s seventh assist of the season added to his AAC-leading total. Zach Hassell put a bow on the scoring in the final minute.
Making his first collegiate start in goal, sophomore Francisco Ranieri finished with two saves to record the clean sheet.
