FORT MYERS, Fla. – Florida Atlantic men’s soccer (3-4-3) makes the short trip to Fort Myers on Tuesday night for a midweek non-conference showdown with Florida Gulf Coast (2-6-2). Kick off is scheduled for 7 p.m. The match will not be streamed. Live stats can be followed on StatBroadcast, and updates will be provided on @faumsoccer on X.
About the Owls
- The Owls put in one of their best performances of the season in Friday’s 3-1 victory over USF.
- Mamadou Diarra scored 49 seconds in, and Noah Kvifte and Aboubacar Traore added tallies later in the first half.
- Traore also contributed two assists and, on Monday, was named AAC Offensive Player of the Week.
- Traore leads the AAC with six assists while Diarra leads the conference with five goals (not counting his hat trick against Stetson, which is still not official).
About the Eagles
- Florida Gulf Coast is coming off a 2-2 draw with UNF on October 5.
- The Eagles and Owls share five common opponents – in addition to the UNF draw, FGCU lost to Stetson and Utah Valley, defeated Jacksonville, and tied USF.
