American Athletic Conference Football Saturday Night Notes | October 5

  • Army has not trailed in a game at any point this season. Army, Indiana and Texas are the only teams that have not played from behind in 2024.
  • Army has won nine consecutive games dating to last year, which is the longest active winning streak nationally.
  • Army has scored a touchdown on its opening drive in all five games. The Black Knights are the only team in the nation that has scored a touchdown on every opening drive this year.
  • Navy has gone 19-for-19 in red zone scoring with 19 touchdowns this season. Navy is the only team that has scored a touchdown on every red zone trip.
  • Navy SB Eli Heidenreich had 100 rushing yards and 101 receiving yards against Air Force and is believed to be the first player in program history to hit triple digits in rushing and receiving yards in the same game.
  • Today’s results for Army and Navy marked the first time since Oct. 27, 1956, that the Black Knights and Midshipmen both won road games by 25 or more points on the same day.
  • Tulane’s 71-20 win against UAB marked the Green Wave’s largest margin of victory in a conference game since 1939, when the Green Wave beat Sewanee 52-0 in an SEC contest.
  • Tulane has scored at least 40 points in three consecutive games, the longest such streak for the Green Wave since 1998.
  • Tulane CB Rayshawn Pleasant had a 100-yard kickoff return for a touchdown against UAB, becoming the first player in program history to have two kickoff return touchdowns in a season.
  • Tulane has won 12 consecutive American Athletic Conference regular-season games, trailing only Michigan’s 24 straight Big Ten wins as the longest active conference winning streak.
  • Charlotte has played in front of three consecutive sellout crowds at Richardson Stadium.
  • Temple K Maddux Trujillo hit a 60-yard field goal against UConn Saturday, marking second field goal of at least 60 yards this season (he hit from 64 yards against Utah State Sept. 21). Trujillo is the only NCAA FBS player with multiple 60-yard field goals this season.
