IRVING, Texas – The American Athletic Conference has announced the winners of the league’s monthly golf honors for the month of September.
Men’s Golf Player of the Week
Jake Peacock, Sr. – South Florida
Peacock earned a pair of top six finishes at two highly contested fall tournaments. At the Visit Knoxville Collegiate, feature four ranked teams, Peacock shot a 6-under 204 to finish tied for third place. He followed that up with a 6th place finish at the Windon Memorial Classic, which had another three ranked teams, where he shot 3-under 210. In the month of September, Peakock held a 69-stroke average in the two tournaments.
Women’s Golf Player of the Week
Pinky Chaisilprungruang
Chaisilprungruang earned two top five finishes in the month of September. At the Golfweek Fall Challenge, Chaisilprungruang shot 5-under 208 to finish in third place. At the Cavalier Regional Preview, she shot 3-under 210 to finish in fourth place. In the month of September, Chaisilprungruang held a 69.6 stroke average over two tournaments.
