VB | Depaula Named Back-to-Back AAC Freshman of the Week

BOCA RATON, Fla. – Following a phenomenal week that included helping lead Florida Atlantic to its first American Athletic Conference sweep of the season over Charlotte, freshman right side Natalie Depaula was named the AAC Freshman of the Week, marking back-to-back AAC weekly honors for the Owl newcomer.
The honor is Depaula’s second of the season after earning her first AAC freshman of the week accolade on Sept. 23.
Natalie Depaula had a stellar week, helping lead the Owls to their first league sweep of the season over Charlotte. Depaula turned in 20 kills, averaging 2.86 kills per set and hitting an astounding .429, and added three digs and three blocks over the Owls’ two matches. She opened the week with 10 kills, hitting .444, and adding a pair of digs and three blocks against ECU. She closed the week with another 10-kill performance, turning in a .412 hitting clip, to go along with a dig in the sweep over Charlotte.
UP NEXT
The Owls will close out their six-match home stretch on Friday, Oct. 4, welcoming the Memphis Tigers to Paradise. First serve is set for 6 p.m. inside Eleanor R. Baldwin Arena.
