| 9/9/2024 | Women’s Basketball BOCA RATON, Fla. – Head Coach Jennifer Sullivan and the Florida Atlantic women’s basketball team have announced their non-conference schedule for the upcoming 2024-25 season. The Owls will compete in 13 non-conference contests, with six home games including the Owls’ Thanksgiving Tournament, and a pre-Christmas tournament at Grand Canyon. Prior to tipping off the 2024-25 season, the Owls will host the University of Fort Lauderdale for an exhibition contest on Oct. 29, marking the first opportunity for Owl fans to see the 2024-25 squad. Florida Atlantic will tip off the 2024-25 season on the road as they head to Gainesville, Fla. on Thursday, Nov. 4, to take on Florida, marking the ninth all-time meeting between the Owls and the Gators. Following their meeting with Florida, the Owls will return to Paradise to open their home slate on Nov. 9 against the Mercer Bears. The home-opening matchup will mark the 38th all-time meeting between the Owls and the Bears. The Owls will continue their homestand on Nov. 13 as they host the North Florida Ospreys for their annual Education Day game. It’ll be the 11th all-time meeting between Florida Atlantic and North Florida. Florida Atlantic will close out its home-opening homestand on Nov. 16, hosting the Bethune-Cookman Wildcats for their 28th all-time meeting. The Owls will then head back on the road, visiting the Stetson Haters on Nov. 19, and close out their road trip back in south Florida as they visit rival FIU on Nov. 23. The contests will mark the 38th all-time meeting between Florida Atlantic and Stetson, and the 56th all-time meeting between the Owls and Panthers. Following the Thanksgiving holiday, Florida Atlantic will once again host their Thanksgiving Tournament on Nov. 29 – Dec. 1. The Owls will kick things off on Nov. 29 against the Manhattan Jaspers and then close out the tournament against the Austin Peay Governors on Dec. 1. The tournament contests will mark the second all-time meeting between Florida Atlantic and Manhattan and the first-ever meeting between the Owls and the Governors. The Owls will then head to the Lone Star state to visit TCU on Dec. 4 for their first-ever meeting against the Horned Frogs. Florida Atlantic will conclude up its non-conference home slate on Dec. 13, hosting Kennesaw State. The matchup will mark the seventh all-time matchup between Florida Atlantic and Kennesaw State. The Owls will hit the road one more time to wrap up non-conference play in Phoenix, Arizona, competing in Grand Canyon’s Tournament. Florida Atlantic will first take on Georgia Southern on Dec. 18, before facing host Grand Canyon on Dec. 19. The Owls will then match up against Wright State in their non-conference finale on Dec. 21. It will be the eighth all-time meeting between Florida Atlantic and Georgia Southern, the third all-time meeting between the Owls and the Lopes, and the first-ever meeting between Florida Atlantic and Wright State. Florida Atlantic’s AAC schedule will be announced later in September, completing the full 2024-25 schedule. Fans can purchase season tickets for the upcoming season here.
