About the Owls
The Owls finished 6-8-3 overall and 3-5 in the AAC last season. That earned them the six-seed in the AAC tournament, where they knocked off FIU in the quarterfinals before falling to eventual-champion Charlotte in the semis.
This season, the Owls were selected fifth of 10 in the AAC preseason coaches’ poll.
Senior Noah Kvifte and sophomore Oliver Moller-Jensen were each named to the AAC preseason all-conference team.

Moller-Jensen is expected to man the right attacking midfield spot in his second campaign.
More than half of the roster is new this season. Among the notable departures, the Owls lost captain and starting outside back Tom Abrahamsson, goalkeeper Rotem Fadida, and forward Victor Claudel.
Graduate senior Nacho Alfaro is expected to get the first chance in goal after starting 39 games in three seasons for Iona University.
Big things are also expected from forward Mamadou Diarra after the senior scored 28 goals in two seasons at Southwestern College (NAIA).On the backline, the Owls have added juniors Callum Frogson from Fort Hays State, Kerfalla Toure from Elmira College, and Nick Kinina from Arizona Western.
Newcomers in the midfield include senior Jeremy Montero, who broke the program record for points (36) with USC-Upstate in 2023, and Mark Andros, who played two seasons for Utah Valley.
