QUALIFYING STANDARDS
Athletes could have qualified for Olympic Trials in one of two avenues. If an athlete achieved an Automatic standard, they were automatically entered for the 2024 US Olympic Team Trials, regardless of field size. If the desired field size was not achieved with Automatic standards, fields were filled to the target size with athletes who achieved the minimum entry standards.

In order to advance to the 2024 Paris Olympics athletes must finish top three in their respective event while also achieving an Olympic standard. In most cases, the top three finishers in each event will represent the United States in Paris as they will have or already have achieved the standard. If someone finishing in the top three does not obtain the Olympic qualifying standard USATF will proceed down the list of finishers at the Trials until it reaches the top three athletes with the Olympic standard.

PREVIOUS OLYMPIANS
Florida has six athletes competing that have made a U.S. Olympic Team previously.

Grant Holloway will look to compete in his second career Olympic Games after earning the silver medal in the 110m hurdles in Tokyo (2020). The now three-time World Champion in the event, holds the second fastest time in history at 12.81. He also holds the World Record in the 60m H, 7.27, which he set earlier this year at 2024 USATF Indoor Championships.

Christian Taylor is a two-time Olympic Gold Medalist in the Triple Jump as he took home the top spot in London (2012) and Rio (2016). The Gator Great also holds four World Championships titles (Triple Jump – 2015, 2017, 2019).

Will Claye is a three-time Olympian and three-time Olympic Medalist. Claye earned two medals in his Olympic debut, snatching bronze in the Long Jump and securing silver in the Triple Jump at the 2012 London games. He then added to his collection as he earned his second consecutive silver medal while competing in Rio in 2016. Claye missed the podium by one spot in 2020 while competing in Tokyo.

Marquis Dendy made the US Olympic team in 2020, finishing 19th in the Men’s Long Jump. Dendy won The Bowerman in 2015 and took home gold at the 2023 USA Outdoor Track & Field Championships to punch his ticket to 2023 World Championships in Budapest.

Jasmine Moore, a 7x NCAA Champion, made the 2020 Olympic Team in the Triple Jump. Moore will attempt to make the Olympic roster in both the Long and Triple Jump. At 2023 World Championships, Moore recorded 10th and 11th place finishes in the Long and Triple Jump, respectively.

Cory McGee will attempt to return to the Olympic stage after qualifying for the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo. The Gator Great finished 12th while competing in the Women’s 1500m. Most recently, McGee finished 10th at 2023 World Championships in Budapest in the event.

2024 PARIS OLYMPICS
Track & Field at the 2024 Olympic Games will take place August 1-11 and include nearly 50 medal events. Aside from the marathon and race-walking competitions, track and field events will be competed at the Stade de France, located in the city of Saint-Denis, just north of Paris.
