UF T&F: Florida Women’s Cross Country/Track & Field Named Terry Crawford Program of the Year

Florida Women’s Cross Country/Track & Field Named Terry Crawford Program of the Year
This marks the first time the Gators Women’s program has won the award since its inception in 2009.

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The Florida Gators Women’s Cross Country/Track & Field teams have been named the Terry Crawford Program of the Year as announced by the USTFCCCA Tuesday afternoon. The USTFCCCA Program of the Year Award honors the institution that has achieved the most success in each academic year (spanning the cross country, indoor track & field and outdoor track & field seasons) based on the institutions’ finish at the NCAA Championships.

In order to be eligible for the award, teams must qualify for each of the NCAA Championships. Scoring is based on the team’s finish at each NCAA Championship.

The Gators women’s program finished no worse than fifth at any of the three NCAA Championships as they recorded their best finish in program history at the NCAA Cross Country Championships (5th) and then proceeded to earn back-to-back runner-up finishes at NCAA Indoor and Outdoor Track & Field Championships.
