SEC newcomers Texas and Oklahoma are both slated to visit Gainesville
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The Florida men’s basketball 2024-25 Southeastern Conference opponents have been set, the SEC announced on Monday. The Gators will face Georgia, Tennessee and South Carolina twice each, while Oklahoma and Texas will both make the trip to Gainesville in their first SEC season.
Georgia and South Carolina will be Florida’s permanent home-and-home series opponents in the new scheduling format brought about by the league’s expansion to 16 teams. The Gators will face one additional rotating team in a home-and-home, beginning with Tennessee.
Florida’s home schedule also includes Ole Miss, Missouri, Texas A&M and Vanderbilt. The Gators’ road slate includes visits to Alabama, Arkansas, Auburn, Kentucky, LSU and Mississippi State.
Oklahoma will be making its first trip to Gainesville, while Texas visits Florida for the first time since 1996. Conversely, this marks the first season since 1963-64 that Florida plays Kentucky just one time and the second time since 1964-65 that the Gators do not visit Vanderbilt (also 2012-13).
Game dates, times and television information will be announced at a later date.
