THE GAME
The Owls offense struck first in the bottom of the second, led by Kamryn Jackson’s lead-off single. FAU capitalized on multiple Tulsa errors, putting Jackson in scoring position before being brought home by a Kiley Channel single to right field. A second Owl run was added on from another Golden Hurricane error, scoring Trinity Schlotterbeck to take a 2-0 lead.
Tulsa tied the game at 2-2 in the top of the fourth before the reliable Ainsley Lambert entered the game and successfully pitched her way out of jams for three scoreless innings and her eventual ninth victory of the season. In the bottom of the sixth, the Owls earned the title-winning runs with a pair of doubles and a home run. Jackson and Channel were at it again, with a lead-off double from the former who eventually scored on the double from the latter to take a 3-2 lead.
But the Owls were not done there. In the next at-bat, Megan Moll stepped up to the plate for a three-run bomb, the cherry on top for the team’s 41st victory.B6 | Megan Moll with a three-run to extend the lead
