BOCA RATON, Fla. – Josh Ballesteros, a former Florida Atlantic University football student-athlete, passed away Sunday at the age of 30 following a one-car traffic accident in West Palm Beach, Florida.
Ballesteros was a defensive lineman for the Owls for 2012 to 2015 and earned a bachelors degree in public safety administration from FAU in 2016. A veteran of the West Palm Beach Police Department, Ballesteros was off-duty at the time of the accident.
Ballesteros grew up in Miami and attended Miami Central High School. He is survived by Kinsley “Bobi” Ballesteros (4-year old daughter) and fiancée Glen’Tisha Johnson.
