| 4/3/2024 | No. 16 Women’s Beach Volleyball DALLAS – No. 16 Florida Atlantic beach volleyball’s Ashleigh Adams and Julie Honzovicova were named Conference USA Pair of the Week after going 2-2 during the Death Volley Invitational this past weekend and earning two huge wins over No. 2 UCLA and No. 6 Cal. The weekly honor marks the second career selection for Adams and the third weekly honor for Honzovicova. Adams and Honzovicova had a huge performance this past weekend, going 2-2 at the Death Volley Invitational in Baton Rouge, La., one of the greatest regular season beach volleyball tournaments in NCAA history. The pair earned two impressive top-6 wins against No. 2 UCLA and No. 6 Cal but dropping tight battles against No. 3 Stanford and No. 1 USC. The duo defeated then No. 6 Cal, 21-15, 17-21, 15-13, and closed out the weekend with a three-set comeback win over then No. 2 UCLA, 17-21, 22-20, 17-15. UP NEXT The Sandy Owls return to the Sunshine State this weekend as they head to Tallahassee for the Unconquered Invitational, hosted by Florida State on Friday, April 5 and Saturday, April 6.
