IRVING, Texas – Visitors to the 2024 American Athletic Conference Women’s and Men’s Basketball Championships will find a new tailgate experience on select days of the tournament as the American Hoops Village welcomes fans to Dickies Arena in Fort Worth.
The American Hoops Village will be available to fans with tickets each day from Wednesday, March 13 – the date of the women’s championship final – through Sunday, March 17 – the date of the men’s final.
The American Hoops Village will feature an outdoor basketball tailgate setting, including a variety of games and activities, photo opportunities, a DJ and live music at Simmons Bank Plaza on the east side of Dickies Arena. Fans will be able to shoot on an outdoor basketball court, enjoy yard games like cornhole, Jenga and Connect Four, and enjoy hospitality in the beer garden (Saturday and Sunday only).
In order to access Hoops Village, fans must have either a valid single-session ticket or an all-sessions ticket to the championship. Activities will be available to fans through the entirety of the session, allowing fans to move freely to and from Hoops Village and the arena.
Hoops Village will open one hour prior to the opening tip of the first session on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday and will open 90 minutes before Saturday’s men’s semifinals and Sunday’s men’s final.
