BOCA RATON, Fla. – The No. 20 Florida Atlantic men’s basketball team will host their second consecutive game at the Eleanor R. Baldwin Arena on Saturday, taking on Tulsa. The game will tip off at 6 p.m. EST and be aired on ESPN+.
The Owls are looking to extend their winning streak to seven games and win their eighth straight at home.
It will be another matchup against a new conference rival. FAU has only taken on the Golden Hurricane once in program history back in 2014.

A thrilling matchup between Florida Atlantic and North Texas, who ranked fourth in the nation in least points allowed per game, came down to the wire. With the game tied at 63, a rebound went into the hands of Johnell Davis with 20 seconds left on the clock. The junior guard from Gary, Indiana would keep the ball and make his way over to the left wing, where he sunk the game-winning triple with just 0.4 seconds left on the clock. He would finish the afternoon with 28 points and a career-high-tying six three-pointers

- The Owls have the most wins in the nation (52) dating back to the beginning of the 2022-23 season through this year
- Davis in the midst of his extraordinary 2023-24 campaign is now one of 10 finalists for the Jerry West Award, given to the best shooting guard in the nation, and one of 20 finalists for the Wooden Award, earned by the most outstanding player in Division I
- In conference play, Davis is averaging 22.4 points per game on 53% shooting from the field and 56% from downtown, as well as 6.8 rebounds, 3.4 assists, and 1.5 steals per game
- Junior guard Alijah Martin recorded his eighth game of the season with three steals
- The Owls are the top three-point shooting team in the American Athletic Conference, converting 38.6% of their attempts. In total, they lead the conference with 29.8 field goals made per game
- Florida Atlantic ranks second among the 14 AAC teams in points per game (82.5), field goal percentage (48.7%), and assists per game (15.2)
- FAU, 23rd in the nation in field goal percentage, will have to convert buckets against a Golden Hurricane defense that is third in the conference in percentage allowed (41.3%)
- Tulsa’s offense comes primarily through redshirt freshman PJ Haggerty, second in the conference in points per game (19.3)
- Golden Hurricane senior guard Cobe Williams is second in the AAC in steals per game (2.3), followed closely behind by Haggerty in third (2.1)
