IRVING, Texas – The American Athletic Conference has announced the winners of the league’s weekly men’s basketball honors for the 11th week of the regular season.
PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Kasean Pryor, Jr., F, South Florida
Pryor led South Florida to two wins with a pair of double-doubles. The junior had 21 points and 10 rebounds in the Bulls’ road win at No. 10 Memphis on Thursday before following that with a 25-point, 10-rebound performance against Wichita State on Sunday.
FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK
PJ Haggerty, G, Tulsa
Haggerty averaged 22.0 points, 5.0 rebounds and 4.0 assists in a pair of Golden Hurricane games. The freshman recorded 25 points, seven assists and six rebounds in Tulsa’s win over UTSA on Wednesday.
HONOR ROLL
Alejandro Vasquez, Jr., G, UAB
Vasquez averaged 18.5 points and 4.5 rebounds as the Blazers picked up wins over Tulane and East Carolina.
Lu’Cye Patterson, R-Jr., G, Charlotte
Patterson helped lead the 49ers into a tie for first place in The American’s standings by averaging 21.0 points and 4.5 rebounds in wins over Rice and North Texas.
Alijah Martin, Jr., G, Florida Atlantic
Martin averaged 24.0 points, 7.0 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 2.5 steals in Owl wins over Wichita State and UTSA.
Travis Evee, Sr., G, Rice
Evee averaged 18.0 points, 6.5 rebounds and 2.5 assists in two games last week, including 15 points in the Owls’ first AAC win at Temple on Saturday.
Sion James, Jr., G, Tulane
James averaged 17.5 points, 6.0 rebounds and 4.0 assists in two games last week, including 22 points, seven rebounds and six assists in the Green Wave’s win over No. 10 Memphis.
