BOCA RATON, Fla. – A New Era will kick off for the No. 17 Florida Atlantic University men’s basketball team (10-3) on Tuesday evening as they host their inaugural American Athletic Conference matchup at the Eleanor R. Baldwin Arena. The Owls will take on the visiting ECU Pirates (7-6), with tip off scheduled for 7 p.m. EST on ESPN2.
There are four matchups between these two to their name, with the Owls and Pirates splitting the series at 2-2. Both FAU wins came in Boca Raton.
The most recent win by Florida Atlantic over an AAC opponent was during the previous season’s legendary tournament run on March 17, 2023, in which the Owls took down Memphis, 66-65, on a last-second layup by redshirt sophomore guard Nick Boyd in the Round of 64.

The Owls fell in their most recent matchup to FGCU on Dec. 30 by a score of 72-68. Junior Vlad Goldin had his second career 20+ point game, scoring 21 on 7-9 shooting from the field. Junior guard Johnell Davis added 17 points.
