IN THE RANKINGS

Florida Atlantic has reached its highest-ever ranking in the AP Poll, moving up seven spots to No. 7, after taking down No. 4 Arizona last week. The Owls are also up to No. 6 in the USA Today Coaches Poll. Memphis is up four spots in the AP Poll to No. 19 and five spots in the coaches poll to No. 18.

MILESTONE WIN FOR FLORIDA ATLANTIC

Florida Atlantic defeated No. 4 Arizona, 96-95, in double overtime for its first win over an AP Top 10 opponent in program history.

Johnell Davis recorded 35 points against the Wildcats, including 10 after regulation and was named one of the Oscar Robertson National Players of the Week, along with being honored as the AP National Player of the Week.

SURGING TIGERS

Memphis has defeated four teams when they were ranked this season, including three in a row at Texas A&M and at home against Clemson and Virginia. The Tigers also defeated Arkansas in the Bahamas. The Tigers’ 10-2 start is their best since the 2019-20 season (11-1). David Jones leads The American with 21.4 points per game and is the only player in the country averaging at least 21 points, six rebounds and two steals.

OFFENSIVE EFFICIENCY

Vladislav Goldin of Florida Atlantic is shooting 74.2 percent from the field, which ranks first in the nation with five or more field goals made per game.

Tulane ranks sixth in the nation as a team, shooting 51.8 percent from the field, while Florida Atlantic is 10th at 50.8 percent. The Green Wave is also seventh in the country in scoring at 89.4 points per game.
