It’s the yearly tradition the Detroit Lions started solo back in 1934. It was so successful that the Dallas Cowboys wanted to join the fun 29 years later in 1963. The Annual NFL Thanksgiving Day Game. While the Lions haven’t won on Turkey day since 2016 vs. The Vikings (13-16). Their record on this day is 37-44-2 (I loathe ties). I expect the win total to go up by one this year.
Jordan Love has had some nice moments as the Green Bay QB. But isn’t consistent at all. The defense is still one the worst at stopping the run. They continue to draft Pass Rushing specialists while ignoring the fact a run stuffer or two to set the edge in the run game might help. Aaron Jones is likely to miss the game with an MCL Strain and is week-to-week. Their star MLB is out in Campbell. They have quite a few players with nagging injuries bothering them. Up to and including 2nd Year WR1 (On this team) Christian Watson.
Jayden Reed, 3rd round pick out of Michigan State University is showing signs of improvement.
The Lions Defense should have a field day against their banged up Oline.
Run the ball, until the defense doubles over from the offensive gut punch. Then run the ball some more. I think whether we have a good game or not. The Packers are outmatched across the roster.
Final score 35-17 Lions win if all goes right
If it all falls apart. The Lions still win, but more like 21-17.
