UF WGOLF | Gators Lead into Final Day of Glass City Invitational

Florida owns a three-shot lead with Maisie Filler tied for second with four other Gators in the top-10.

TOLEDO, Ohio – The Florida women’s golf lead throughout the majority of day one of the Glass City Invitational on Monday, which ended with the Gators owing a three-stroke lead for the final day tomorrow.

Round two was stopped due to darkness and play will resume tomorrow morning starting at 8:30 a.m. immediately followed by round three. Tomorrow’s action will also be streamed on ESPN+ starting at Noon ET.

The Gators were led in the second fall tournament by Maisie Filler’s 2-under 70 in round one. She is tied for 2nd and one shot back of the lead. The senior is one of four golfers in the field to be under-par battling through rainy conditions today.

Among the seven UF golfers competing at Inverness Club, four are in the top-10 currently. Jackie Lucena (Indv.) is tied for 6th and is 2-under with back-to-back birdies in her last three holes before play was halted.

Freshman Paula Francisco (Indv.) highlighted her opening round with an ace on hole 3, a par-3 of 168 yards. She is tied for 10th with Annabell Fuller and Sophie Stevens.

Right outside the top-25 is Ines Archer (T27) and Marina Escobar (T31).
