Local educators and coaches learn the lifesaving skill prior to the new school year. WHAT: The Detroit Lions Foundation and the American Heart Association are adding more lifesavers to the Detroit community by training and educating Detroit Public Schools Community District coaches and employees in CPR. The Detroit Lions Foundation is providing two learning opportunities for the school district employees: Hands-Only CPR or Heartsaver® card credentialed. The American Heart Association’s Heartsaver® CPR automated external defibrillator (AED) course provides the highest quality training in the lifesaving skills of CPR and how to use an AED. Those who complete the course are empowered to act with confidence in the event of an emergency at work, home or in the community.
