The Villanova, Pa. native elects to play final year at Florida
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The Florida women’s lacrosse team officially announced the addition of Maria Pansini to the program as a graduate transfer on Monday.
Pansini spent her undergraduate career at Princeton, where she competed in 34 games for the Tigers. She will use her final year of eligibility with the Gators.
At Princeton, she earned her undergraduate degree in psychology.

Senior Season (2023)
* Saw action in three games during the 2023 campaign
* Picked up a season-high two groundballs twice: Virginia on Feb. 18, Yale on March 4
* Posted two caused turnovers during the season, one against Virginia (Feb. 18) and one against USC (March 10)
Junior Season (2022)
* Honorable mention All-Ivy
* Appeared in 17 games, making 16 starts
* Finished with 10 caused turnovers and 17 ground balls
* Pitched in five points (3g, 2a) on offense

Freshman Season (2019)
* Played in nine games before suffering a season-ending injury
* Scored six goals and two assists for eight points with six caused turnovers, three ground balls and one draw
* Had an assist and a caused turnover in the season opener win over Temple
* Scored her first goal at Virginia and collected one ground ball
* Tallied two goals in a win over Penn State and one against Columbia in the next game
* Had a caused turnover, ground ball and draw in a win over Stony Brook
* Tallied a goal and an assist in a win at Florida while adding a caused turnover
* Scored a goal against Brown
* Caused two turnovers and collected a ground ball in a win over Villanova
Prior to Princeton
* A five-year starter at Agnes Irwin
* Captained the Owls as a junior and senior winning MVP honors both seasons
* Agnes Irwin went 104-20 as she scored 108 goals and 58 assists during her career
* Added 207 ground balls, 198 draws and 192 caused turnovers
* Four-time Inter-AC League Champions, three-time Pennsylvania Independent Schools Athletic Association (PAISAA) State Champions and four-time state finalists
* 2018 Under Armour Senior All-America
* Tallied 62 points on 42 goals and 20 assists, won 87 draws and 51 ground balls, and caused 40 turnovers as a senior
* Two-time US Lacrosse All-America and all-academic who was selected three times to the Under Armour Underclass All-America Philadelphia Team
