GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The University of Florida placed 137 student-athletes on the 2023 Southeastern Conference Spring Academic Honor Roll, announced today by league commissioner Greg Sankey.
The 2023 SEC Spring Academic Honor Roll is based on grades from the 2022-23 summer, fall and spring terms. Florida placed 322 student-athletes on 2022-23 SEC Fall (113), Winter (72) and Spring Academic Honor Rolls.
Nine from the NCAA champion men’s golf team earned spots on the SEC Academic Honor Roll to equal program record set in 2008. Florida men’s track & field set its program record with 26 on the 2023 list while the women’s team placed 24 on the Academic Honor Roll. The 2023 SEC champion and NCAA runner-up Gator baseball team placed 19 on the honor roll – the second-highest total in program history.
For the third consecutive season, Gators lacrosse raised their all-time record for SEC Academic Honor Roll, with 31 on the 2023 list. Softball’s 14 honorees was one away from its record set in 2021. Other sport honoree numbers included women’s golf (6), men’s tennis (3) and women’s tennis (5).
