UF MBK: Florida to Face Virginia in Charlotte

The game will be part of a Hall of Fame Series Tripleheader

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The Florida men’s basketball team will face Virginia on Friday, Nov. 10, at the Spectrum Center in Charlotte. The game will be part of a 2023 Hall of Fame Series tripleheader, also featuring Virginia Tech vs. South Carolina and Charlotte vs. Liberty.

“Big-time games like this are part of why we love being at Florida, and we’re excited to play in front of all the great Gators in Charlotte again,” head coach Todd Golden said. “It provides an opportunity for us as competitors to match up against a program we have a lot of respect for, and we appreciate the Basketball Hall of Fame’s effort in organizing and hosting this event.”

It will be one of two visits to Charlotte in Florida’s nonconference season, as the Gators will also face Michigan in the Jumpman Invitational on Dec. 19 at the same venue.

It marks the first regular season meeting between Florida and Virginia. UF holds a 2-1 edge in the all-time series with NCAA Tournament wins vs. the Cavaliers in 2012 (first round) and 2017 (second round) and a loss in the 1992 NIT semifinals.

Tickets for the event are scheduled to go on sale in July. On-sale date, game times, fan experience information, credentials, and television broadcast details will be released at a later date.
