JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Jacksonville Jaguars have unveiled their 2023 preseason and regular season schedules, the team announced today. The 2023 schedule is presented by Dream Finders Homes.
NFL Kickoff Weekend begins on Thursday, Sept. 7 and the regular season ends on Sunday, Jan. 7, 2024. Super Bowl LVIII will take place on Feb. 11, 2024, at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.

PRIME-TIME PERFORMERS: Jacksonville will play in three prime-time games this season, the most regular season prime-time matchups the team has had since 2011. It will be the first time since 2008 the Jaguars have played a game on Thursday Night Football, Sunday Night Football and Monday Night Football in the same season.
In Week 7, the Jaguars will travel to New Orleans for the first time since 2015 to take on the Saints on Thursday Night Football. Jacksonville has played New Orleans once in prime-time and defeated the Saints, 41-23, in 1999. Head Coach Doug Pederson is 7-0 in Thursday Night Football games, including 1-0 with the Jaguars.
The Jaguars will host the Bengals on Monday Night Football in Week 13, marking the team’s first Monday Night Football contest since 2011. Jacksonville is 8-7 in Monday Night Football games in team history, including 7-4 at home, while Head Coach Doug Pederson is 5-2 on Monday Night Football.
The game will be the third time Jacksonville has played against Cincinnati in prime-time and the second time the Jaguars have hosted the Bengals in a prime-time matchup.
In Week 15, the Jaguars host the Ravens on Sunday Night Football for the first regular season Sunday Night Football matchup since 2008. It will be the second consecutive season the Jaguars hosted the Ravens after defeating Baltimore, 28-27, at TIAA Bank Field in 2022.
CLOSE TO HOME: After traveling the third-most regular season miles of any NFL team at 25,534 miles in 2022, the Jaguars will travel just 16,854 miles in 2023. Jacksonville ranks 20th in the NFL in terms of miles traveled this season. The team’s longest trip will once again be the trip over the pond to London, which will be 4,250 miles.
The Jaguars will play back-to-back road games just once in the 2023 season, Weeks 7 and 8 (at New Orleans and at Pittsburgh).
KICKING OFF IN INDY: The Jaguars open their 2023 regular season schedule against their divisional rival Indianapolis Colts on Sept. 10 at 1 p.m. ET. The matchup will be the fourth time the two have faced off against each other to open the season with the previous three coming in 2002, 2009 and 2020. The Jaguars have defeated Indianapolis eight times in a row at home, including 27-20 in the 2020 home opener.
WELCOME BACK TO THE BANK: The 2023 home slate of games for the Jaguars will begin with the defending Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs coming to town on Sept. 17. Jacksonville is 4-3 all-time against the Chiefs at home. The matchup will mark the 15th time the two teams have faced off against each other and the eighth in Jacksonville.
Including the postseason, it will mark the third time Coach Pederson has coached against Chiefs Head Coach Andy Reid since Pederson became Jacksonville’s head coach in 2022.
Pederson played quarterback for Chiefs Reid with the Green Bay Packers where Reid was the quarterbacks coach (1997-98) and in Philadelphia where Reid was the head coach (1999). Pederson was also on Coach Reid’s coaching staff in Philadelphia as an offensive quality control coach (2009-10) and quarterbacks coach (2011-12). When Reid took over as the Chiefs head coach in 2013, he hired Pederson as Kansas City’s offensive coordinator.
OLD RIVALRIES, NEW CHAPTERS: Jacksonville faces Houston at home in Week 3 to begin their home and home matchup with the Texans. The Week 3 matchup will be the first time the Jaguars play a division rival at home in the 2023 season. The Jaguars and Texans conclude their season series in Houston on November 26th in Week 12.
The Jaguars will not see the Tennessee Titans until Week 11 on November 19th at TIAA Bank Field. The two teams will once again meet to close out the regular season in Week 18. In 2022, in the final week of the regular season, the Jaguars defeated the Titans to claim AFC South title in a thrilling 20-16 win.
With a victory at home in Week 11, the Jaguars will have defeated the Titans in three consecutive games for the first time since 2005-06.
A DOUBLE DOSE OF LONDON: The Jaguars are set to return to London in 2023 and become the first NFL team to play back-to-back games on foreign soil. On October 1, as the home team, Jacksonville will take on the Atlanta Falcons at historic Wembley Stadium. The matchup with the Falcons at Wembley will be their ninth game played at Wembley Stadium and fourth against an NFC opponent. Seven days later, the Jaguars will be the visiting team in a game against the Buffalo Bills at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. In the Jaguars only game at Tottenham, they faced another AFC East opponent when they defeated the Miami Dolphins 23-20 in 2021. In that Week 6 game, QB Trevor Lawrence became the first rookie quarterback to win a game in London.

RIVARLY RENEWED: The Jaguars will face off against their old AFC Central rivals, the Pittsburgh Steelers in Pittsburgh in Week 8. In their two most recent trips to the Steel City, the Jaguars defeated the Steelers in the 2017 AFC Divisional Round 45-42 to advance to the AFC Championship and in Week 5 that same season. In that 30-9 victory, Jacksonville forced 5 turnovers and returned two interceptions for touchdowns.
Head Coach Doug Pederson is 1-1 against the Steelers in his head coaching career, including a 34-3 blowout win in Week 3 of the 2016 season. The victory was just his third career game as a head coach.
BE BACK SOON: The Jaguars will have their Bye Week in Week 9. Jacksonville has had a bye in Week 9 five times in team history, most recently in 2018.
CLEVELAND ROCKS: The Jaguars head to Cleveland in Week 14 this season. Jacksonville is 12-6 all-time against the Browns and owns a 7-2 record as the away team. In the last matchup in Cleveland, the Jaguars held the Browns to just 184 total yards. Jacksonville also forced six fumbles, recovering three and had two interceptions.
Head Coach Doug Pederson returns to Cleveland where he played quarterback for the Browns for 11 games including eight starts in 2000.
BATTLE OF THE 1’S: The Jaguars and 2021 No. 1 overall draft selection QB Trevor Lawrence are set to face off against three other quarterbacks that were selected number one overall in their respective drafts. QB Joe Burrow of the Cincinnati Bengals will visit Jacksonville in Week 13 on Monday Night Football. Jacksonville is 8-3 all-time against the Bengals at home, winning the last matchup 23-7 in Week 9 of the 2017 season.
QB Bryce Young, who was drafted first in the most recent NFL Draft, comes to Duval County on New Years Eve in Week 17. The Panthers have visited Jacksonville just three times with the Jaguars holding a 2-1 advantage over Carolina in those three games, with the most recent contest occurring in Week 1 of the 2015 season.
Jacksonville will also face former number one overall draft pick Baker Mayfield and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 16 which will be the team’s shortest road trip of the season at just 170 miles.
LIGHTS, CAMERA…: The Jacksonville Jaguars content team debuted the 2023 schedule release video tonight across Jaguars social media channels. The mockumentary-style, short-form video features cameos by Jaguars Owner Shad Khan, Head Coach Doug Pederson, Hall of Famer OL Tony Boselli, QB Trevor Lawrence and more than 10 other active players and alumni. “The Script” was written and also stars Asher Grodman, Jaguars super fan and star of “Ghosts”, the no. 1 sitcom on CBS.
