FORT LAUDERDALE, FLA – The Nova Southeastern Softball team secured an impressive win over Eckerd College on Friday evening. NSU was led by a no-hitter from Alyssa Drogemuller.

BOT 1st | Alyssa Drogemuller got the action started for NSU, hitting a double to left field. Shortly after, Drogemuller stole third, to put a runner in scoring position for NSU. In the ensuing at-bat, Ryleigh Langwell brought Drogemuller home with a single to left field. Several at-bats later, with the bases loaded, Samantha Burke hit an RBI single to give the Sharks a 2-0 lead. Emily Thomas was then walked with the bases loaded, extending NSU’s lead to 3-0.
BOT 5th | With a runner on first, a double from Tia Williams tacked on another run for the Sharks. Shortly after, Samantha Burke hit her second RBI of the day, giving NSU a 5-0 lead. The Sharks offensive attack continued, thanks to RBIs from Emily Thomas and Drogemuller, ultimately securing the Sharks 8-0 victory over the Tritons.
– Alyssa Drogemuller threw the first no hitter for an NSU pitcher since March 15th, 2022.
The Sharks will return to the field on Saturday, May 6 for a doubleheader matchup with Eckerd at the AD Griffin Sports Complex in the last series of the regular season. The Sharks will celebrate senior day tomorrow, with fesitives beginning at 11:40 a.m. First-pitch is scheduled for 12 p.m.
