FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – The Nova Southeastern softball team will take on Eckerd College in a three-game series at the AD Griffin Complex. The Sunshine State Conference matchup begins on May 5 and is scheduled to conclude with a doubleheader on Saturday, May 6. The Sharks will also celebrate senior day ahead of the doubleheader on May 6, with festivities taking place at 11:40 a.m.
· The Sharks are 19-8 in conference play, while the Tritons own a 6-21 record in SSC competition.
· NSU leads the all-time series 41-18.
· Nova Southeastern owns an 8-4 record against Eckerd in its last 12 matchups, dating back to 2017.
Alexis Smith (.412) and Ryleigh Langwell (.404) continue to lead NSU in hitting, ranking in the top-five in the conference in batting average. On the mound, NSU is led by its ace, Alyssa Drogemuller. The junior ranks second in the SSC in wins (18) and sixth in ERA (1.92).
Eckerd is powered by strong hitting, with two Tritons ranking inside the top 10 in batting average in the conference (Lokenisky, Coiner).
The Sharks and Tritons will open its three-game series on Friday, March 5 at the AD Griffin Complex in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. First-pitch is set for 6 p.m.
