UF TF: Florida to Honor 26 Seniors at the Tom Jones Memorial

Thirteen seniors will be honored on each day of the meet

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The University of Florida track and field program will honor 26 seniors this weekend at the Tom Jones Memorial, the final home meet of the 2023 season
All 26 seniors have contributed to the history of the Florida program, and many are members of the three 2023 National Championship Teams.
The Seniors
Women

Imogen Barrett
Imogen Barrett is a native of Brisbane, Australia. Imogen won gold in 800m at the 2022 SEC Outdoor Championship and 1500m at the 2019 SEC Outdoor Championship. She was a member of the 2022 Women’s Indoor and Outdoor National Championship teams and holds the school record in the indoor 800 meter and indoor distance medley relay. She is a six-time All-American, five-time All SEC honoree, and a three-time SEC Academic Honor Roll member.

Imani Carothers
Imani Carothers is a native of Chicago, Illinois and has spent 2023 running for the Gators after transferring from Georgia. Imani is a hurdler and has finished inside the top 10 at every meet as a Gator. She is currently working on her masters in criminology and will begin her Ph.D. upon completion of her degree next spring.

Emily Culley
Emily Culley is from Tallahassee, Florida, and has been a member of both the Cross Country and Track & Field teams. Emily was named to the 2020 SEC Women’s All-Freshman team for her performances in the mile. She was named a three-time SEC Academic Honor Roll member and competed at the SEC Cross Country Championships all four years of her career. Emily will graduate this summer with dual degrees in criminology and psychology.

Talitha Diggs
Talitha Diggs came to Florida from Saucon Valley, Pennsylvania and has become a major part of the Gators success. In her time at Florida, Talitha has won two SEC Individual titles, two NCAA Individual titles, and was a member of the 2022 Women’s Indoor and Outdoor National Championship team. Diggs holds four school records, is a nine-time All-American, and seven-time All-SEC honoree. She is also a two-time All-Academic Athlete and SEC Academic Honor Roll member.

Kynnedy Flannel
Transferring to Florida from Texas, Kynnedy Flannel has become an integral part of the Florida Gator team. She was named an All-American this past indoor season for her performance in the 200 meters at the NCAA Indoor championships. In her short time at Florida, Kynnedy already holds four spots in the top 10 lists for all-time performances as a Gator. She will complete her graduate certificate in sport event management this spring.

Chloe Hyde
Chloe Hyde hails from Longwood, Florida, and has been a member of the Gators Cross Country and Track & Field teams for four seasons. She is a three-time SEC Academic Honor Roll member and will graduate this spring with a degree in journalism. Chloe plans to pursue a master’s in mass communications and social media.

Thea Jensen
Thea Jensen is a native of Glostrup, Denmark. She was a member of the 2023 Women’s Outdoor National Championship team and received All-American Honors in the shot put. Thea was the 2022 Danish National Champion in the Shot Put, a 2021 All-SEC Indoor Team member, and a two-time member of the SEC Academic honor roll. She will graduate this spring with a degree in criminology.

Sterling Lester
Sterling Lester, transferred to Florida before the 2021 season and has spent three seasons with the Gators. The Marietta, Georgia native is a six time All-American, six-time All-SEC honoree, and the 2022 SEC Outdoor heptathlon champion. She ranks second all-time on the indoor pentathlon and holds five other spots on the all-time top 10 lists. Sterling will graduate this spring with a degree in health education and behavior.

Tymiah Montgomery
Tymiah Montgomery is a sprinter from Gainesville, Florida. She has been part of the Gators program for the last four seasons and is a two-time SEC Academic Honor Roll member. Tymiah will graduate this spring with a degree in sport management.

Jasmine Moore
A native of Grand Prairie, Texas, Jasmine Moore has had a record-setting career as a Gator. After transferring from Georgia, Jasmine has won every SEC and NCAA horizontal jump competition as a Gator, for a total of six SEC titles and six National Titles. She holds the American and collegiate records in the indoor triple jump and the collegiate record in the indoor long jump. She is also the only woman to ever jump 15 meters in the triple jump and 7 meters in the long jump at the same meet. Jasmine is a two-time Indoor National Women’s Field Athlete of the Year, three-time SEC Field Athlete of the Year, six-time All SEC First Team member, and six-time First Team All-American. She will be graduating this spring with a degree in marketing.

Kathryn Nohilly
Kathryn Nohilly, a native of Golden Bridge, New York, transferred this past summer to Florida from George Washington. She is a member of the Cross Country and Track & Field teams, having competed in the SEC Championships and NCAA Regionals as a member of the cross country team. On the track, she holds the eighth-best time in the 3000m steeple chase in school history. Kathryn will graduate this fall with a master’s in mass communications and public interest communication.

Men

Pjai Austin
Pjai Austin transferred to Florida from Arizona and has become a major part of the Gators success. The Los Angeles, California native was a member of the 2022 Men’s Outdoor National Title team and won the 2022 SEC Outdoor title in the 4×100. Pjai is a four-time All-American and will graduate with a degree in geology this spring.

Hugh Brittenham
Hugh Brittenham is a native of Estero, Florida and has been a part of both the cross country and track & field teams during his time as a Gator. He was part of the 4×800 team to win the event title at the Pepsi Florida Relays this season. Hugh will graduate this spring with a degree in mechanical engineering.

Jalen Chance
Jalen Chance, a native of Jacksonville, Florida, has been a member of the Gators track & field program for the past four seasons. He was a member of the 2020 SEC Men’s All-Freshman Team and has competed in both jumps and sprints as a Gator. Jalen will graduate this fall with a degree in Media Production, Management, & Technology.

Tyler Davis
Tyler Davis, from Huntsville, Alabama, has been a Gator for the past four seasons. He won gold at the 2022 SEC Outdoor Championships as a member of the 4×100 relay team and is a two-time All-American and an ALL-SEC First-Team honoree. Tyler is pursuing a degree in geology.

Deshay Fernandes
Deshay Fernandes has been a part of the Florida program since 2019. The Miami native earned his bachelor’s degree in sport management this past fall and will finish a graduate certificate in sport event management this spring. Deshay was named to the 2020 SEC Spring Academic Honor Roll during his career.

Miles Green
Miles Green transferred to Florida from Virginia Tech. During his time at Florida, the Philadelphia, Pennsylvania native has competed in the 300 meters, 400 meters, and 400-meter hurdles. He was named to the 2022 SEC First-Year Academic Honor Roll. Miles will graduate this spring with a degree in education sciences.

Caden Monk
Caden Monk is from Gainesville, Florida, and a member of the Florida cross country and track & field programs. He is a three-time honoree of SEC Academic Honor Role and holds the fifth best outdoor 1500-meter time in school history. Caden will graduate this spring with a degree in business administration and a minor in management sales and agribusiness.

Jacory Patterson
A native of Columbia, South Carolina, Jacory Patterson has excelled as a Gator. After transferring from Virginia Tech, Jacory won the 2022 SEC and NCAA Outdoor title in the 4×400 and the 2023 SEC Indoor 200-meter title. He is a six-time All-American and three-time All-SEC honoree. Patterson also holds nine spots on the UF top 10 lists. He will graduate this spring with a degree in education sciences.

Kurt Powdar
Kurt Powdar transferred to Florida from Hinds Community College. The Chesapeake, Virginia native earned second in the 60-meter hurdles at the 2022 SEC Indoor Championship and was named to the All-SEC Second Team for his performance. He holds the mark for the sixth fastest time in school history in the indoor 60-meter hurdles. Kurt is pursuing a degree in education sciences.

Chase Ruskin
Chase Ruskin, a native of St. Johns, Florida, has been a member of the Gators track & field program for four seasons. Ruskin is a three-time SEC Academic Honor Roll member and has competed in four SEC Championships as a Gator. Chase will graduate this spring with a mechanical engineering degree and begin the UF Electrical & Computer Engineering PhD Program.

Collin Sieffert
Collin Sieffert transferred to Florida from Minnesota. The Woodbury, Minnesota native has spent two seasons as a member of the 2022 Men’s Outdoor National Championship Team. Collin was named a 2022 Academic All-American and SEC First-Year Academic honoree. He will graduate this spring with a master’s in electrical and computer engineering.

Osaji Skyers
Osaji Skyers, a native of Miramar, Florida, competes in the hurdles for the Gators. He competed at two SEC Championships. Osaji will graduate in the spring of 2024 with a degree in mechanical engineering.

Corvell Todd
Corvell Todd competes in the high jump. He is a native of Byhalia, Mississippi and transferred from Southern Mississippi and is a top 10 finisher at the NCAA Outdoor Championships. Corvell will continue his studies next year at Florida, where he plans to graduate with a master’s in construction management.
Angel Vicioso
Angel Vicioso is from Oviedo, Florida, and has competed in both Track and Cross Country for the Gators. After transferring from UConn, he has been a part of the program for the last three seasons. Angel is a two-time SEC Academic Honor Roll member and earned his undergraduate in economics. He will graduate this summer with a master’s in real estate.

Cavan Wilson
Cavan, a Coral Gables, Florida native, runs distance for the Gators. He has competed in both track and cross country for the Gators. Cavan is a five-time SEC Academic Honor Roll member. He earned his undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering in the fall of 2022 and is pursuing a Master’s in Civil Engineering.
