TAMPA, FLA. April 12, 2023 – The University of South Florida head softball coach, Ken Eriksen, announced the signing of Dharma Murray (Key West) to a National Letter of Intent. The senior catcher for Key West High School has led the Conch’s from behind the plate for the last two years.
“We are excited to get a player that has a high ceiling ahead of her in Dharma” said Eriksen. “She has a tremendous work ethic that will be appreciated by her future teammates and I am looking forward to see her continue to learn the D1 level of catching and hitting.”
Murray has a career batting average of .320 on 24 hits. She has 24 RBI, five doubles, and nine runs. She will finish with a .942 career fielding percentage.
Murray received the highly esteemed “Conch Pride Award” in 2020, has been on the “High Honor Roll” since 2019 and in every year of her high school career she has been Key West’s “scholar athlete”.
