DALLAS – Florida Atlantic University’s Gabby Sacco has been named to Conference USA Pitcher of the Week honors for the second time this season. Sacco’s award is well-deserved after another terrific week in the circle for Florida Atlantic in the Owls’ sweep over FIU.
Sacco threw two gems this past week, as she went 2-0 with 17 scoreless innings, allowing only one unearned run. She struck out seven while walking only four. Sacco now has a C-USA leading 1.32 ERA and is the conference leader in wins with 15. Her two complete games this weekend put her at 10 on the season with five shutouts.
QUOTES FROM COACH CLARK

This award is a celebration of our whole staff and how they continue to push each other to be the best versions of themselves. Our whole staff stepped up this weekend and helped us pick up three big conference wins.”
