OWLS IN REVIEW
The Owls were shutout for the second time this season last Friday against Rice but rebounded to win the next two and take the series.
Multi-hit games by Mitchell Hartigan, Jackson Ross, and Jalen DeBose led the Owls to a 10-7 win on Saturday. Evan Waterbor and Nicholas Del Prado combined to pitch the last four innings, holding Rice scoreless.
FAU earned a walk-off win in eight innings on Sunday via the run-rule. Armando Albert had four hits and Nolan Schanuel delivered the final blow with a two-run HR in the eighth inning to end the game. Brandon Smith quieted the Rice bats with three scoreless innings in relief. The Owls are now 5-4 in Conference USA.
