Norman, Okla. – Lynn University’s men’s golf team is ranked No. 1 in the country in the newest Bushnell Golf Week Coaches Poll, as announced on Friday.
The Fighting Knights received 11 of the possible 20 first place votes and is followed by Florida Southern, West Florida, Barry and Saint Leo in the top-five.
Lynn took third place at the Cougar Invitational presented by AFLAC, its first event of the fall. The team finished just one stroke back of the winner and was the only team in the field to shoot under par all three rounds. Toto Gana secured his 18th career top-10 finish, tying him for second place in school history with former teammate Manuel Torres.
The Blue and White are back in action on Monday, Oct. 7, when they take part in the Shark Invitational at PGA National in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.
