GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The six finalists for the 2023 AAI Award includes University of Florida Super Senior Trinity Thomas. The American Athletic Inc. honors one senior student-athlete each year from NCAA Division I women’s gymnastics.

AAI will announce the winner next month at the NCAA Women’s Gymnastics Championships’ awards banquet in Fort Worth, Texas.
The 27-time All-American claimed the 2022 Honda Award as the nation’s top collegiate gymnast after sweeping post-season all-around wins (Southeastern Conference, NCAA Regionals, NCAA Championships). Thomas owns Florida’s career records for event wins (138), which includes a program high 30 all-around wins.
That’s not the only records Thomas owns. Her 10.0 versus Georgia earlier this season was her fourth on vault. Thomas is the only gymnast in NCAA history with enough 10.0s on each event to have four Gym Slams (10.0 on each apparatus). She is one of 13 – and the third Gator – in NCAA history with a Gym Slam. Thomas is the Gators career leader with 25 10.0s.
