Jasmine Moore and Talitha Diggs are named to The Bowerman Women’s February Watch List

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Florida Gator Track and Field athletes Talitha Diggs and Jasmine Moore were named to The Bowerman Women’s February List Update, by the USTFCCCA on Wednesday afternoon.

Talitha Diggs has had an incredible start to her 2023 season. At the Clemson Invitational she competed in two events, placing first in both. In the 60m finals, Diggs ran a 7.14, a new Clemson facility record, a personal best, and the second fastest time in school history. She followed up her 60m performance by taking part in the 300m running a 36.12, a new personal best which broke the current school record in the event which she set at the 2022 Clemson Invite.

The following week at the Razorback Invitational she competed in the 200m, 400m, and 4x400m relay. In the 200m Diggs placed second, running a personal best and the third fastest time in the nation this year. In the 400m, she placed fourth with a time of 51.34, the fastest time in the nation so far this year. Diggs also took part in the 4x400m relay, running the anchor leg and helping the team to a second-place finish. The relay team set the school record in the event, besting the previous record by 1.83 seconds.

Jasmine Moore’s season has been equally impressive. She competed at both the Clemson Invitational and Razorback Invitational, placing first in all the events she took part in. At Clemson, she took part in the triple jump, finishing first with a mark of 14.44m (47’4.5”), the third best jump in the world this year and the top jump in the nation so far this season. In Fayetteville, Moore competed in the long jump for the first time this year, winning the event. Her mark of 6.64m (21’9.5”) at the Razorback Invitational is the national leader in the event this year.

The Gators continue their 2023 campaign on February 10-11 when they travel to the Tyson Invitational in Fayetteville Arkansas and the David Henry Valentine Invitational in Boston, Massachusetts.
