Jasmine Moore and Talitha Diggs are named to The Bowerman Women’s Preseason Watch List, while Grace Stark received votes
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Florida Gator Track and Field athletes Jasmine Moore and Talitha Diggs were named to The Bowerman Women’s Preseason Watch List, by the USTFCCCA on Tuesday afternoon.
Jasmine Moore had a historic 2022 season, winning every major Long Jump and Triple Jump championship title she competed in. Moore became the first woman in NCAA history to sweep all Indoor and Outdoor conference and NCAA titles in Long and Triple jump in the same calendar year. She also holds the NCAA record in the Indoor Triple Jump at 14.57m. Moore was a four-time All-American last season, receiving honors for both the Long and Triple Jump for the indoor and outdoor seasons. Her accolades did not end there as she was named SEC Women’s Field Athlete of the Year, National Indoor Women’s Field Athlete of the Year, South Region Indoor and Outdoor Women’s Field Athlete of the Year, and a Bowerman semifinalist.
Talitha Diggs makes her Bowerman Watch List debut. During her 2022 campaign, she swept the 400m titles, placing first at the NCAA Indoor and Outdoor Championships. Diggs hold the school record for fastest Outdoor 400m time (49.99) and is second all time in school history in the Indoor 400m (50.98), just 0.07 seconds behind the school record. Her outdoor 400m school record is also the fifth fastest time in NCAA history and makes her one of six women to run the event in under 50 seconds. Diggs also placed third in the 200m at the SEC Outdoor Championships. She earned All-American honors for the indoor and outdoor 400m events and was named South Region Outdoor Women’s Track Athlete of the year.
Grace Stark was not named to the watch list but did receive votes. Stark earned All-American honors in both the 60m and 60m hurdles during the 2022 indoor season. Additionally, she won both the NCAA and SEC Championships in the 60m hurdles. Stark holds the top time in the indoor 60m (7.10) and 60m hurdles (7.78) in school history and her 60m hurdles time of 7.78 is an NCAA record.
The Gators begin their 2023 campaign on Friday in Clemson, South Carolina at the Clemson Invitational.
