JAGUARS HEAD COACH DOUG PEDERSON
POSTGAME MEDIA AVAILABILITY
SATURDAY, JANUARY 7, 2023

DOUG PEDERSON: It’s like I told the guys a second ago, that this game tonight kind of symbolizes our
season. There were some struggles. There were some highs, some lows, but in the end we had the
victory. I’m so proud of the guys for the way they have just all season long just hung together and, you
know, through the face of adversity at times and even through some of the high moments, you know,
we just stayed the same. Just stayed the same. We just kept trusting in each other, kept building on
what we do. Guys just improved every single week. It showed. I mean, it’s not going to be easy. These
games are never easy, and I don’t care what the score is. I just want more points than the opponent.
That’s a great football team. My hats off to Mike (Vrabel). He had his guys ready to go. It’s always a
physical game with them. But just so happy and proud. Happy for Mr. Khan obviously. It’s been a while
that he has had nine wins. Just so happy that we were able to do that for him today as well.
Q. Can you describe Rayshawn’s strip sack and Josh Allen’s touchdown, how that play developed for
you guys?
DOUG PEDERSON: As a coach, I mean, you’re excited, but as a coach, you go, okay, it’s going to go to
replay. Then when it was confirmed, it’s just — it’s the break we needed. I mean, again, it’s just how the
defense — I think defense and special teams won this football game for us, and that’s okay. It’s okay. We
found a way. That was a great play. We needed it. We needed to find a way. The guys did it. Hats off to
the defense and our special team. Agnew and the guys did a heck of a job.
Q. Coach, how far has this team come this season to be able to play and win a game like this one?
DOUG PEDERSON: We’ve come so far. You know, I mean, just think about back in April and May when
we first got together, you know, you’re trying to teach a winning culture. You’re trying to flip a script, so
to speak it. You just are not sure until you start playing games just how that’s going to look. You know,
listen, these guys, they trust in me. I trust in them. They never waivered. And to get a game like this
down the stretch, I mean, it’s just are pretty incredible. You know, to win nine games in our first year
together is pretty impressive for the guys in the locker room.
Q. What did you think about the environment and the fans here at The Bank tonight? It?
DOUG PEDERSON: It was electric. It was what we were hoping for, and the crowd delivered. It was loud.
They stayed until the end. I’m very proud of our fans. We’re going to need them again in a week or so.
Just a great way to cap off the regular season. As we head into the postseason, we’re going to need
them again, so let’s gear up and get ready. It was awesome, though.
Q. Obviously, the Dallas game showed what a home field advantage with your 12th man and, boy, did
it come up big today the louder it became. When you took this job, you know, this is a town waiting to
erupt here with some success, and we saw that with the 12th man. Seattle is known for it, but boy, Jacksonville is waiting to erupt here. Does that really make you feel pretty enthusiastic about what
lies ahead?
DOUG PEDERSON: Yeah, that’s just it. Listen, we understand too that we’ve got to do our jobs, and
we’ve got to win football games. And in order to get crowds like that, you have to win on the field, and
that’s what our guys have done. Here the second half of the season they’ve put themselves in this
position. We’ve talked about playing meaningful games in the month of December and January, so here
we are. The more success we have, the fans will show up, and they did that. So I’m very proud of our
fans are. Again, it was a great atmosphere. Just electric and loud. Everything we expected.
Q. You mentioned kind of building that culture. What was needed when you first got into that, and
when did you realize you had it?
DOUG PEDERSON: I think what was needed was trust. I think trust was broken with this team, you know,
when I took the job, so I had to regain their trust as a coach. You know, it’s not an overnight. I said this
way back then. It’s not an overnight fix. It’s going to take a process. It’s going to take a journey. I think
they saw right away that they can trust in me, I can trust in them. You know, one of the things I’m
always going to do is shoot them straight and be honest with them. The transparency is key. The
communication is key. I think we just built over time that trust factor, and it began to show throughout
the course of the year. I think that’s why we hung together, you know, in the middle part of our year,
that month of October. You have five straight losses. It could go sideways in a hurry, and it didn’t. We
just had to, you know, dig a little deeper. It’s not about coaching harder or playing harder or practicing
harder. It’s none of that. It’s you just have to tighten a few things up and play a little bit better, you
know, and eliminate the mistakes. We did that, and here we are.
Q. Obviously, you’re in the postseason. That’s the goal. For this team in particular from where they
were a year ago, this moment — I know you weren’t here a year ago, but this moment tonight what it
means for these guys that have been here for a couple of years, can you put that into context?
DOUG PEDERSON: I mean, I think it means everything for these guys that have been here. You know,
they were at an ultimate low coming off of last season obviously, and right now they’re at an ultimate
high with more football to play. That’s really the roller coaster of emotion that is a football season can
bring. But, you know, the guys that have been here, you can see it in their faces just how excited and
proud and — it’s not relief, but it’s enthusiasm, and it means everything to them. They take it to heart.
It’s something that we can continue to build upon. We’re not where we need to be or want to be, but at
the same time, you know, we’re building it, and we’re building it one — kind of one piece, one player,
one game at a team, and this was a really good start for us this year.
Q. You talked about the Josh Allen touchdown, but just how important was that early Tyson Campbell
interception, and how much has he grown over the course of the year?
DOUG PEDERSON: Tyson has improved so much through the course of the year, and he is a tough player
to throw at and against. He is so long and athletic. And to make plays like that, I mean, that’s what great
corners in this league do. He is such a humble kid and just wants to learn and get better and the way he
practices every day. Just a great play, and it really helped us to at least get three points on the board at
that time.

Q. You’re obviously a Super Bowl winning champion. You know what it takes to win at the highest
level in this sport. At what point this season did you start to see your team take that turn or take that
proverbial leap, and what in particular did you see that allowed you to know that those changes were
happening and you were starting to really make that step forward?
DOUG PEDERSON: You know, it was somewhere in the middle part of the year. It could have been
somewhere in that Denver, Vegas sort of Kansas City sort of stretch of three games. Middle part of our
season where that’s where things could have really gotten out of hand for us. Listen, we just continued
to stay disciplined in what we did and what we were doing. We continued to just build. Listen, we knew
that it was going to be about what we did, you know. When we turned the ball over, that’s us. When we
don’t make tackles, that’s us. When we miss field goals, that’s us, right? It’s about us, and it’s always
going to be about us. I think that’s when we realized that, hey, we’ve got a pretty good football team, if
we could just eliminate those mistakes. We got into the bye. Obviously you think — go back to the Raider
game. You’re down 17 points in that game, and there was no flinch. Really at that moment I think is
when we realized that this football team is a special team. We can make a run at the end of the year and
see what happens.
Q. Is it more rewarding to win this considering the hole you guys dug yourself in? Is it more special for
you and the players to claw out of that hole to win it like this?
DOUG PEDERSON: You know, it’s hard to win in the league, period. It takes a lot going your way, and you
cherish every moment you have because you never know. We saw it this past week. You never know
when it could be your last coaching day, playing day. It’s been a tough week for our team and the rest of
the league for what we have seen, what we’ve witnessed, and obviously the blessing that we’re getting
every single day with Damar. So every win is special. It doesn’t take away from what our team did this
year. I’m just proud of these guys. Obviously to be in this position, to be in the AFC South Champion and
just to know the journey that it took us to get here, you know. The guys stay humble. And, look, it’s just
a step in the direction that we want to go. You know, I want it to be sustainable. I just don’t want to be
like, okay, you were the 2022 champs and not in ’23. You want to be competing for this division every
year. But it makes it special just because of the way these guys battled and kind of what they’ve been
through in the last two years.
Q. As a play caller, as the game progressed into the second quarter, did you feel, all right, this is going
to be a low-scoring game? Did you kind of change — did you get more conservative as a play caller as
the game went along?
DOUG PEDERSON: No, not necessarily conservative as much as just trying to find things that would work
(laughing). They did a great job with their front. They changed some things up from Week 14, and they
pressured us a little more off the edge. We didn’t handle it very well as an offense, quite frankly. It’s
something we’ve got to clean up, and we’re going to see it. We still tried to take shots down the field.
Just some leakage in protection, whatever it might be. An overthrow in the end zone to Zay. I mean,
there’s all kind of things, and the offense just wasn’t on point tonight, but sometimes that’s okay, right?
As a play caller, you know, you’re just trusting in your guys that somewhere somebody is going to make
a play. For us, fortunately, it was on the defensive side tonight, right, making a play, special teams.
Logan kicked his tail off, as a punter. But, no, we just tried to stay aggressive as we could, trying to find
things that worked.

Q. Derrick Henry is Derrick Henry. Do you coach the defense to say just to hang in there and you’ll get
a play at the end of the day. You coached a kind of defensive game plan that kind of went out today
and they had him most of the game, and then just finishing the game.
DOUG PEDERSON: Derrick is a great back. He is big. He is powerful. He is fast. We knew this was going to
be one of those games where you have to bring your big boy pads as we call it and you’re going to have
to bow up because he is going to get five, six, seven yards every time. Credit to the defense. I mean,
kept him I think to 3.5 or 3.6 or so yards. Just have to commit 11 guys against a good back like that, and
our guys did a nice job. We had an extra D-lineman in there in our game plan this week. You know you’re
always going to be fighting it to the end because that run game that they have can keep you in a lot of
ball games.
Q. Doug, you get an opportunity now to exhale a little bit, and you had one day short. Now tomorrow
you can turn that into an extra day. I’m sorry. I apologize. I don’t remember if it in Philly you had a
Saturday-Sunday playoff type of situation, but you knew who your opponent would be. When you
wake up in the morning, you still don’t know who it’s going to be. What’s that going to be like to kind
of monitor the 1:00, 4:00 games, trying to figure out what it’s going to be like for you?
DOUG PEDERSON: Yeah, when I was in Philly, we always played for the division on Sunday, so we kind of
knew at the end of that day what was going to happen. This is a little unique because it’s on Saturday.
We have a good idea of who it might be, but really until tomorrow is finished, you know, we really won’t
know, but I think history says that the AFC South winner usually plays on Saturday. So we should have at
least seven days to prepare, which I think is a good thing. So we’ll treat tomorrow like a Monday. Let the
guys come in and sleep in. If they want to go to church, they can go to church. And then come in here
tomorrow afternoon and get ready for a potential Saturday game. Thanks, guys.

JAGUARS QUARTERBACK TREVOR LAWRENCE
POSTGAME MEDIA AVAILABILITY
SATURDAY, JANUARY 7, 2023

Q. Hey, Trevor, I’ve got to ask you about post-game. Midfield Doug is hugging you, whispering in your
ear. What was that moment like for you? I mean, seriously.
TREVOR LAWRENCE: You made it sound a little weird, but, (laughing). No, it was great. Just the
excitement that, obviously, I had and still have right now and Coach. Just how this year has gone. The
ups and downs and just the belief that we’ve had the whole time. You kind of saw it all come together
today. And even just how we had to win the game, it wasn’t always pretty, but [we] just found a way to
win. You know, just told him I loved him. I’m appreciative of him, just what he has done for this place
obviously, it takes more than just a coach, but what he has been able to do for this organization has
been incredible and just excited for the future. We get another opportunity to play next week. That’s all
that means is we get to play again next week, and there’s not many teams that get to say that at this
point. I guess after tomorrow night at that point. So, just excited. These guys, you know, we earned it. It
was a tough year as far as just having to climb out of that hole we dug ourselves. It was awesome.
Q. Back to that hole, does that make it more, I guess, special that you won it this way after falling,
what, 2-6, 3-7 at that point?
TREVOR LAWRENCE: Just what we had to do to claw and fight our way back into the hunt and give
ourselves a chance to win the division tonight. We had to do a lot. You know, we had to win a ton of
games down the stretch. We were able to do it. We never lost faith or belief in ourselves. Really how we
got here was just taking it one week at a time, and that’s — I mean, that’s the message especially this
week. You only get one week at a time. I think that’s exciting for this group because we’ve been so good
at that the last two months of just—one week at a time, just keeping one foot in front of the other, keep
stacking great days. We gave ourselves a shot, and we went and took it tonight, so it feels really good.
Q. Where were you on Josh Allen’s touchdown, and emotionally where were you at that point?
TREVOR LAWRENCE: I was sitting there really getting ready for, you know, thinking they’re going to punt
it or get the ball back and just getting ready to have to go win the game, our offense to go down the
field and go score to win the game. So, I was just kind of getting my mind right thinking about that, and
then I think I was looking at that play when it happened, and I saw Rayshawn [Jenkins] coming off the
edge. I mean, just honestly just jaw dropped and kind of speechless. Just defense bowed up. I mean,
we’re in it together, and it’s us. It’s all about everyone. It’s not about one specific guy, one side of the
ball, but defense won us the game tonight. I think everybody saw that. Offensively we struggled at
times, [we] didn’t really get in a great rhythm. It was here and there we made some plays, but we’ve got
to play better to give us a shot every week. But our defense… That’s what good teams do, though. You’re not always going to be clicking on all cylinders, and our defense really had our back tonight.
They’ve been flying around playing great, so it’s fun to watch.
Q. With what last year was, does that make being at this moment that much more special?
TREVOR LAWRENCE: Definitely. I just think this whole journey from where we were to where we are
now, to earn this opportunity to go play in the playoffs, it’s special. You ask a lot of guys that have
played for five, six, seven, eight plus years and a lot of guys have only been to the playoffs once, twice,
three times in their career. When you think about that too, it really puts it into perspective that it’s not
easy to win in this league. And, especially, to do what we’ve been able to do the past five games and
give ourselves a chance, that’s really hard to do. So, I’m just proud of the team, of the staff, just
everybody, all the work that’s been put in to be here. It’s taken a lot of work, and it’s going to take more
to keep going, and we’re excited for that and ready for it. But, yeah, it makes it special for sure.
Q. I know you probably haven’t had an opportunity to really give this too much thought yet, but
you’ve played in a lot of high-level, high-leverage football games in your life so far. Now you’re on to
the playoffs in the NFL. Probably the highest yet. Where are your thoughts on that? Kind of how do
you feel about stepping into the arena for another really huge opportunity?
TREVOR LAWRENCE: I’m excited. Just for this team to get that opportunity to continue to show who we
are and just, like I said, just to get a chance to play again. The field gets whittled down next week and
[we] get a shot to play. Whoever it is, it’s going to be a good team coming in here. Just excited for that.
Like you said, played in big games. So, it will be a good challenge for us, but I’m really excited just to get
another opportunity. We’ve got a lot of stuff, like I said, to clean up. We definitely didn’t play anywhere
close to our best ball, especially offensively, tonight. So, I’m excited to kind of watch the tape and get
back to it and clean up some things.
Q. You’ve played in a lot of big games before, big atmospheres. What did tonight what the fans
showed you, just how they filled everything out, what did that tell you about the fan base here?
TREVOR LAWRENCE: It says a lot. Just how the fans have rallied around us this year as this season has
gone on, and obviously late in the year like we’ve been playing. To see the stadium packed tonight was
awesome. One of the best game environments I’ve been in, honestly. It was special. They were loud all
game. It was really, really cool. It was a cool experience. I’ll always remember that, so hopefully we do
the same thing next week. We’re going to need it. It will be fun. Thank you, all.

JAGUARS WR CHRISTIAN KIRK
POSTGAME MEDIA AVAILABILITY
SATURDAY, JANUARY 7, 2023

Q. You talked a lot since you have been here about the culture that you guys wanted to instill and that
winning was a part of that. Even through that struggle in October you guys wouldn’t let it fall off the
rails. Seeing it all come together, how far has this team come, how close is it to the vision that you
saw when you talked with Doug Pederson [Head Coach Doug Pederson] and you guys really set the
things in motion?
CHRISTIAN KIRK: Yeah, I think we’ve obviously made tremendous strides. The month of October was
tough for us, but when you look back to it for all of us, it’s something that we went through, we
persevered, and we came out on the better side of it. Since we went through that, I think whenever we
get in these types of games and things may not be going right, the momentum is kind of not going our
way, we may be down, and nobody blinks. Nobody hesitates. No negative thoughts go into our minds.
We just know that if we just keep chipping away at it, things will go our way. Personally, I think that
tonight wasn’t our best performance, but at the end of the day, it’s all about how you finish and getting
wins, especially this late in the season. I’m just so happy and proud of everybody the way that they have
fought and just glad that we were able to get this win to get in.
Q. Christian, can you, if possible, describe for us what it was like walking into that locker room after
this game, the emotion, and just sort of the picture of being the champs after being so far behind the
8-ball?
CHRISTIAN KIRK: Yeah, unbelievable. You could just see all the joy, and that type of energy comes from
all the amount of hard work, dedication, and sacrifice by each and every person in this building to get to
this point. For it to pay off, it’s an incredible feeling. To be able to share that moment, everybody in this
building that’s a part of this deserves to feel that. Like I said, I’m just so happy that we get to enjoy that,
enjoy this moment, and keep working towards our goals that we’ve put in front of us.
Q. The Cowboys game you guys were able to win in walk-off fashion defensively, and it looks like
tonight the defense led to the final points again. So, this team is not only proving that they can do
well offensively to win games, but what about your thoughts about the way the defense has been
able to pull off game-winning points to enable you to come away with these triumphs?
CHRISTIAN KIRK: Yeah, you said it. They won us the game tonight. They’ve been incredible these past
couple of weeks. Tonight, offensively we had our struggles. Didn’t put our best foot forward, but
defense just kept chugging away. They put us in position and kept us in the game the whole entire time.
They have so many guys over there that just make plays and their energy. For us offensively, it’s just watching them and feeding off of their energy. They set the tone tonight and just obviously very glad to
be on their team and just to be able to watch them work. Like I said, they won us the game tonight.
Q. Christian, you and Zay Jones [WR Zay Jones] were the first Jaguar wide-out teammates since 2001,
Jimmy Smith and Keenan McCardell to both have 80 receptions in the same season. How are both of
you able to develop such synergy and chemistry with Trevor Lawrence [QB Trevor Lawrence] this year
to be able to do that?
CHRISTIAN KIRK: Yeah, Trevor [QB Trevor Lawrence] is such a mature guy, so the communication part
was really easy; just connecting with him. Me and Zay [WR Zay Jones] have had a prior relationship to
coming here. Zay’s work ethic, his approach, and his unique ability to be able to communicate what he is
seeing to just have relationships throughout the locker room has just been amazing. I’m just really
happy for him and all the personal success he has had. Being able to connect with Trevor and make the
plays when they’re supposed to come to us, that’s why we’re here; and we’re here to help in games like
this. It’s been great to see.
Q. Obviously you weren’t here last season, but something Doug [Head Coach Doug Pederson] was
talking about when taking this job was having to kind of rebuild the trust, kind of regain the trust of
that locker room. He feels like that trust has grown. From your perspective as a player and one who
was on a different team last season, what has Doug or his staff been able to do to cultivate trust and
buy-in in the locker room?
CHRISTIAN KIRK: Yeah, I just think Doug [Head Coach Doug Pederson] is an incredible leader. When you
are an incredible leader like that, there’s a lot of traits that you have to possess. One of the ones that he
has is just connecting with everybody. He connects with everybody within the locker room. He treats us
fair, and he sticks to his word. He is always thinking about us, and he puts us first. To have a coach like
that who is always going to put you in the right position to succeed, it’s pretty easy to buy into. Then,
when he keeps manifesting and telling us it’s always going to be about us and it’s going to come down to
Week 18. He is saying these things that, maybe in other times guys may not believe, but when it’s
coming to fruition and it starts happening, it’s pretty easy to buy into that. You just know that if you just
stick to the course and stick to what we’re trying to do here, all the goals and all the things we’re trying
to accomplish will happen. He has done an incredible job. Like I said, he is just an easy guy to buy into,
and I know everybody in this locker room is very grateful to be able to play for him.

JAGUARS OLB JOSH ALLEN
POSTGAME MEDIA AVAILABILITY
SATURDAY, JANUARY 7, 2023

Q. You’ve been here through the struggles. How much does this moment mean to you?
JOSH ALLEN: I mean, when you lose so long, man, it teaches you a little something about opportunities. I
think we capitalize on every opportunity that we had, man. I’m blessed. I’m thankful to even be in the
position that we are here today. I love my teammates. We are brothers, keepers no matter what
situation arises. We just play until the clock hits 00:00, and we’re going to find a way to be victorious.
Q. Even though you rallied from that big deficit, the 2-6 record, does it still feel surreal that you’re
here, you’re division champs?
JOSH ALLEN: No. We kind of knew back — to be real, I think back in training camp we kind of had this type of swag, this type of aura that we were going to make it far. We knew those five games, that five-
game stretch that we had, we had to find a way to win. I think we weren’t finding those ways to win at that moment. I think we were learning lessons. Like I said, man, when you lose, you find opportunities.
You know, when we were put back in that situation again, we capitalized. So, we won it in overtime. We
are 17 down, 10 down, you know, kept a lead. You have to find a way to win, and right now we’re
finding multiple ways to win. And at the end of the day, you have to get the job done.
Q. When you look at the tape tomorrow, you’re going to see two plays that were really milliseconds
making difference plays. So, does what happened tonight validate what Head Coach Doug Pederson
has been preaching all year about staying in there, hanging in there, and just waiting for that big
moment?
JOSH ALLEN: I think the biggest thing we can take away just from those two moments is the sense of
urgency. We kind of knew how the game was going. They were running the ball and then they were
throwing the ball quick. If he was going to draw back the pass, he was going to draw it out quick, so the
sense of urgency has to be there. So, Arden [Key], to go out and make the play, he has been getting
pressure all game. That one little second where he held it just a little bit longer, we made a play. Again —
oh, Lord. With Ray[shawn Jenkins] making the play, sense of urgency. Y’all got to watch that tape. He cut
that corner so clean. I just seen it too, brother. It was clean. But, again, sense of urgency. It’s the playing
for one another. It’s the knowing if he does his part, I’m going to do my part, and we’re going to win this
game. I swear, when we came into the halftime, like, we knew we was going to win. It was just
something about it. We talked about we were going to win, but it was just the feel. We were down, but
we weren’t out of the fight. We’ve been in that situation before. We knew what we had to do to win this
game. Stop the run, pressure the quarterback, create take-aways. We ended up doing that. We’re
winning the game. On to the next.

Q. When you’re in a situation like this like tonight, like the Cowboys game, a few times this season
we’ve seen the defense really come up big to make plays to win the game. What do you guys tell each
other in the huddle to come out here and make that impact play and do what it is you need to do to
come out and get that win?
JOSH ALLEN: Man, we really love each other. We really are one person out there. We flow together. We
fly together. We hit together. We do everything together, man. And you can just feel the love that we
got out there, the passion, the commitment that we have to each other. This standard was set back in
training camp, so it didn’t just happen. It was throughout the process, throughout the weeks,
throughout the rough days we had, throughout the bad losses we had, throughout the good wins we
had, throughout the bad wins that we had. It was just the love and the commitment that we can all win,
and we trust each other. We do what we need to do, and we can stop anybody. We can beat anybody.
Let’s do it.
Q. How much did you guys feed off of the crowd tonight? It was a sold-out crowd in Jacksonville.
JOSH ALLEN: Man, huge crowd. It’s something when it’s a sold-out crowd, but it means something more
when it’s a sold-out crowd of your people. You know, they did it one time, so now we expect it to
happen. We expect them to come out every week. We expect them to be loud. When we put our hands
in the air and tell them, ‘Let’s go,’ we expect them to be louder and go crazy. That’s the expectation they
have for us. That’s the expectation we have for them, so let’s get this going.

JAGUARS S RAYSHAWN JENKINS
POSTGAME MEDIA AVAILABILITY
SATURDAY, JANUARY 7, 2023

Q. On the play where you got to Titans QB Joshua Dobbs, were you convinced that you had gotten
into him in quick enough time where his arm wasn’t going forward?
RAYSHAWN JENKINS: I mean, honestly, I mean, I play to the whistle, so I couldn’t really see, but I just
knew I had to get by there before the whistle was blown, and I got back there. He was still holding the
ball, and I said, let’s go for the ball, man. I know the sack is already there. I’m back there. The sack is
there. Let’s be great. Let’s make the great play. Let’s swat at this ball, and I was fortunate to get it.
Q. Can you just talk about the season you’re having this year? You had the pick-six against the
Cowboys to win the game. You forced the fumble in probably one of the more pivotal plays today that
wins this team the AFC South. What kind of year and impact have you had this year? I mean, I know
you wanted to have a big year, but did you envision those kind of impact plays for the team?
RAYSHAWN JENKINS: Yeah, I envisioned it. Man, that stuff I just think about all the time. I always dream
about making big plays. Especially when my number is called. Especially if my coaches have the trust to
call my number on a play, I take that very personal. So, I would say I’m having a good season, man. But
that’s what you are supposed to do when you get brought into a team and supposed to change the
culture. You’ve got to be one of those guys, especially when you come in. You know, if they went to go
hand-pick you, you have to be one of the guys that help change the culture.
Q. Why didn’t this team point fingers at the end of October when it was all falling apart?
RAYSHAWN JENKINS: I mean, as good teams you’re not supposed to point fingers, in my opinion.
Everyone always has a role in a win or a loss. There’s never one play that determines the outcome of a
game even though –even my play tonight, you know, great play, but that didn’t – I mean, it determined
– it somewhat did, but I will say there was a lot more good things that happened that Arden Key was in
there making plays all night. Josh Allen was making plays all night. I was fortunate to have a big highlight
at the end of the game. Tyson [Campbell] was making plays the whole night, [Andre] Cisco. Everybody
plays their part. No pointing fingers ever. You have got to be grown men in this business.
Q. Can you just talk about the defensive turn-around you guys have had over the past few games? I
believe it’s only been one touchdown given up – last couple of games only a field goal.
RAYSHAWN JENKINS: Yeah. I mean, I’m sure you guys have been seeing “It was always the Jags.” It’s
always us, man. So, we just had to just really come in and figure out what were we doing early on in the
season that we could improve on? We were able to come in, self-scout, really get guys playing. Not
simple, but, you know, just faster through everything. So, hats off to our coordinator for dialing these
plays up. Hats off to the guys trusting everything that’s being dialed up and really trusting the plan and trusting our leaders on the team. Hats off to everybody who is able to contribute into to turning this
defense around.

Q. You guys are in the playoffs now. Everybody else has to iron their stuff out tomorrow. How do you
spend tomorrow? Do you kind of turn the brain off a little bit? Do you watch football and try and see
who you are going to end up playing next week?
TYSON CAMPBELL: Yeah, and get some recovery in. You know, we have a lift tomorrow, so just get our
bodies ready for this new season that we’re about to play in, so that’s pretty much what I’m going to do.
Q. You played in the state championship at American Heritage, you played in a lot of big game at
Georgia, but this is your first win-or-go-home NFL game. What was that like for you?
TYSON CAMPBELL: Like I told Fred [Taylor] and them, I thought I was in Stamford Stadium when I came
out there. The crowd was just jumping. They were giving us a lot of energy. So, I appreciate the crowd
that came today. They were a big part of us winning this game.
Q. Having been here last year, does that make this extra sweet for the guys that were in this locker
room and went through everything last year?
TYSON CAMPBELL: Yeah, it definitely does. Just to see all the work we put in and the faith we’ve had in
one another and the faith that we had in the process. Just to see it all unfold and to be in this position,
it’s a tremendous blessing. We’re hungry for more. So, you know, we’re excited about it, but we’ve got a
big challenge next week.
Q. Speaking of hungry, I would be remiss if I didn’t ask. Chick-fil-a, is it closed on Saturday?
TYSON CAMPBELL: Yeah, they weren’t open today. I think it was, like, something went wrong with
corporate, so they closed it today too, so yeah.
Q. On the interception it looked like initially like Titans WR Treylon Burks had a step on you going down the left sideline. How quickly did you start to realize that the ball was going to be under-
thrown?

TYSON CAMPBELL: I was looking at the ball the whole time. Once I saw the ball was under-thrown, I
began to slow down and play the ball.
Q. Were you initially afraid that you were going to get beat and it was going to be an 80-yard
touchdown?
TYSON CAMPBELL: No, he ain’t going to outrun me.
Q. Can you talk about S Rayshawn Jenkins’ kind of year this year? I mean, the impact that he has had
for the team. The pick-6 against the Cowboys, the forced fumble today. What sort of guy in the locker room is Rayshawn, and what sort of year is he having on the field to have two of the more impactful
plays for this team this year?
TYSON CAMPBELL: I think Ray[shawn Jenkins] is having an All-Pro year. He is a heck of a player and just
to see the work he puts in week in and week out and the leader he is. You’re not even surprised when
he makes the plays that he makes. He is a playmaker, great leader, hard worker. I mean, I’m happy for
him. I’m glad everyone is starting to see that.
Q. The defense has really kind of been a turnover magnet all season long. In a game like this one,
when you come up with the turnover that really is the tide of this game. You have been on some good
football teams. Good football teams just tend to find a way to win games. To be able to win a game
like this one, how far has this team come? What kind of – does it tell you just how good this team can
be?
TYSON CAMPBELL: Yeah, it just goes to show all the work we’ve put in. Like you said, after that bye
week, we just got to realize how talented of a team we are and how many games that we lost that we
beat ourselves in. If we just continue to trust everyone to do their job and trust in our abilities, we’ll be
fine. That’s why the motto is “It was always the Jags.” Just to see the growth of this team is incredible.
I’m excited for our future.
Q. What are your plans for Monday night? You and LB Travon Walker have any plans? What are you
doing for the game? Any big plans?
TYSON CAMPBELL: Just going to watch the game and watch the Dawgs [Georgia Bulldogs] put on a
show. I feel like it’s going to be a blow-out personally.
Q. Now the team is 9-8. Do you feel in some ways that you guys are kind of on house money that a lot
of teams – people didn’t expect you to get this far, so you can play some really loose football as you
head into the playoffs, so you could be very dangerous. Teams have to watch out for you.
TYSON CAMPBELL: Yeah, we’re not really worried about the outside noise. We just focus on us and try to
find ways that we can correct our mistakes and find ways to get better. I feel like once we do that, we’ll
be fine. You know, put the league on notice.
