Lions (7’7) Survive The Jets (7-7)

The Detroit Football Lions traveled to MetLife Stadium to take on the New York Football Jets. It was an ugly game but the boys in Honolulu Blue and Silver came out on top.

Lions received the first kick off and drive the length of the field to the 2-yard line and the offense stalled out right there. The defense stopped them for no gain, so the Jets had to punt from their own endzone. The punt was less than stellar, but the punt return that ensued by Khaliff Raymond was electric! He returned it 52 yards to the endzone, being the first Special Teams Touchdown since James Agnew left in 2021 in Free Agency.

It was a back and forth battle to the half with the score tied 10-10. The defense had some very good play in the front 7. But, some very suspect play by most in the secondary. Jerry Jacobs picked off a floater that was thrown by Zack Wilson. The connection between the 2 Wilsons ( Zach QB and WR Garrett) finally looked palpable. But alas the boys in green and white came up short. Greg Zeulein missed a 58 yard FG at the end of regulation, that would have tied the game.
My hot players:
Brock Wright TE received a pass that went 51 yards to the house

Khaliff Raymond with the punt return and plenty of clutch catches in key situations.

James ‘Da Problem’ Houston added another sack to get to 5 in his 4th game.
Alec Anzalone played really well. Along with Hutchinson, Rodriguez, Cominskey, and Jerry Jacobs.

The Oline is always big plus when Goff is kept upright and clean for the game.

Final Score
Lions    20
Jets      17
