POSTGAME NOTES
DOLPHINS HAVE 100 – YARD RUSHER AND RECEIVER IN SAME GAME
• Miami’s offense accomplished something tonight that the team hasn’t done since the 2018 season – have a 100-yard rusher and a 100-yard receiver in the same game.
• RB Raheem Mostert had 136 rushing yards on 17 carries (8.0 avg.), including a 67-yard rush.
o It was the second-most rushing yards he’s had in a regular-season game in his career and his second 100-yard game of the season.
• Mostert had 101 rushing yards on eight carries (12.6 avg.) in the first quarter.
o He became the first Dolphins player since at least 1991 to rush for more than 100 yards in the first quarter of a game.
o The last Dolphins player to rush for at least 100 yards in any quarter of a game was RB Lamar Miller (106 in second quarter) vs. Houston on Oct. 25, 2015.
o He was the first NFL running back since Indianapolis RB Jonathan Taylor (106) on Jan. 3, 2021 against
Jacksonville to top 100 rushing yards in the first quarter of a game.
• Mostert’s 67-yard run was the longest by a Dolphins player since RB Kalen Ballage had a 75-yard touchdown run on Dec. 16, 2018 at Minnesota.
• WR Jaylen Waddle caught three passes for 114 yards (38.0 avg.) including a 67-yard touchdown from QB Tua Tagovailoa.
o It was the longest reception of Waddle’s career.
• Waddle went over 100 yards receiving for the fifth time this season, joining WR Tyreek Hill (six) as the only pair of teammates in Dolphins history to have at least five 100-yard games in the same season.
• It was Waddle’s seventh touchdown of the season, tying his career high from 2021.
• Waddle now has 1,117 receiving yards this season, surpassing his career high of 1,015 from 2021, and ranking fifth among all players in the NFL this year.
• Waddle is now averaging 18.0 yards per reception this season, the best in the NFL.
• It was the first time the Dolphins had a 100-yard rusher and 100-yard receiver in the same game since Oct. 14, 2018 vs. Chicago, when RB Frank Gore rushed for 101 yards and WR Albert Wilson had 155 receiving yards.
PHILLIPS STRIP – SACKS ALLEN TO FORCE TURNOVER
• Early in the fourth quarter with Miami holding a 26-21 lead, LB Jaelan Phillips strip-sacked QB Josh Allen near midfield and the ball was recovered by DT Christian Wilkins.
• It was the first forced fumble of Phillips’ career and Wilkins’ first fumble recovery of the season.
• The good field position set Miami up to make a 47-yard field goal and extend its lead to 29-21.
• Phillips now has at least a half-sack in four straight games and leads the team with 7.0 sacks this season.
HILL GOES OVER 1,500 RECEIVING YARDS FOR THE SEASON
• WR Tyreek Hill entered tonight’s game already holding the Dolphins franchise record for most receiving yards in a season and added to it with nine receptions for 69 yards (7.7 avg.) and one touchdown.
