GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Among the more than 4,400 graduates celebrating their accomplishments in the University of Florida’s fall commencement ceremonies this weekend are 34 current and former Gator student-athletes. Thirty earn undergraduate degrees and four claim master’s or doctor’s degrees.
Graduate Notes:
- Florida’s fall graduates includes seven who were part of conference championship teams.
- Charla Echols won World Games gold with U.S.A. softball teamhttps://floridagators.com/news/2022/8/5/echols-lorenz-moultrie-help-lead-usa-softball-to-world-games-gold.aspx in summer of 2022. She also is a two-time College Sports Communicators Academic All-American.
- Four completed advanced degrees – Adam Bouchard (track & field), Hannah Burns (swimming), Marissa Mesiermore (softball) and Kemuel Santana (track & field).
- Five compete for the Gators in spring 2023 – Fred Biondi (golf), Colin Castleton (basketball), Charla Echols (softball), Deshay Fernandes (track & field) and Cavan Wilson (track & field)
- Cavan Wilson (track & field) graduates magna cum laude. Jack Anders (football), Josh Braun (football), Lauren Durbin (soccer), Francesca Faraci (soccer), Noah Keeter (football) and Cheyenne Lindsey (softball) graduate cum laude..
- Among Florida’s graduates are 30 who earned Southeastern Conference Academic Honor Roll accolades.
