BIRMINGHAM – The UAB women’s soccer team concluded the 2022 regular season with a 0-0 draw against Rice on Saturday afternoon.
The Blazer backline held Rice to only three shots, with none on target, giving keeper Eve Beyer her league-tying eighth clean sheet of the season.
The biggest scoring chance came in the 73rd minute when Rice’s Serence Chan’s penalty kick hit woodwork, preserving the scoreless draw.
UAB outshot the Owls 8-3, with Carlyn Presley, Stella Kiss and Morgan White each recording a shot on goal.
Up next for the Blazers (9-3-5, 6-1-3) is the 2022 Conference USA Championship beginning Wed. Nov. 2.
UAB’s seed will be determined after the conclusion of the North Texas/LA Tech match which begins at 7 p.m. Check our social media channels for the official pairings later tonight.
