FORT LAUDERDALE, FLA. – The Sharks scored early and scored often. After goals from Theo Oherwall, Nick Brisevac (2 goals), Milos Christoforou (2), Santiago Marengo, and Tommy Maguire, the Nova Southeastern Sharks went on to take down the Eckerd Tritons 7-1 in tonight’s SSC showdown.

HOW IT HAPPENED
· Out the gate, the Tritons offense made their presence felt firing a shot at Eduardo D’Avino, but D’Avino swatted it away.
· In the 9th minute, Theo Oherwall got the Sharks’ offense going as he snuck one by the Tritons’ goalkeeper, giving NSU an early 1-0 lead. Oherwall was assisted by Paul Boos.
· In the 13th minute, the Tritons evened it up after getting one by D’Avino. 1-1 in the early portion of the match.
· After being rewarded a free kick in the 29th minute, Nick Brisevac fired a shot that deflected off a Triton defender, which then went right over the goalkeeper’s reach. Sharks take a 2-1 lead.
· Minutes later in the 31st minute, after receiving a nice pass from Tommy Maguire, Milos Christoforou tapped one in to give the Sharks a 3-1 lead.
· In the 40th minute, after getting a pass from Aleks Berg, Milos Christoforou crossed up a Triton defender, then lasered one into the Tritons’ net, scoring his second goal of the night, and extending the Sharks lead to 4-1 at the break.
· Out the gate in the second half, the Sharks offense didn’t slow down. After receiving a long pass from Nick Brisevac and splitting two Triton defenders, Tommy Maguire got one past the Tritons’ goalkeeper, increasing the Sharks lead to 5-1 in the 52nd minute.
· Just minutes after checking into the match, Santiago Marengo made his presence felt, getting one by the Tritons’ goalkeeper, making it 6-1 NSU. Marengo was assisted by Paul Boos.
· In the 69th minute, after a corner kick pass from Aleks Berg, Nick Brisevac fired one into the back of the net, recording his second goal of the night and adding on to the Sharks’ lead.
· The Sharks’ defense kept it clean the rest of the way, giving the Sharks a 7-1 victory.
STATS OF THE MATCH
