After the game, Coach Willie Taggart said, “It was a really good bounce back game for us. I’m really proud of our football team. All week we talked about going out and fixing our problems, fixing the issues that we had the week before. I felt that our guys bounced back and did that. The week before, I felt like we were not fundamentally sound in a lot of areas defensively. Our guys fixed that tonight and did a better job, especially when it comes to tackling. It was good to see those guys flying to the ball, really good to see our defense stop the run and good to see our offense run the ball. There was a lot of positives about tonight and there needed to be.”

Next week, FAU will host a strong University of Central Florida Team. Taggart said, “Next week we will have to play our game. We will have to be physical and we will have to play smart. They are a good team.”
